The Literacy Leader / Intervention Coach will play a vital part in the continued implementation for the Vision of Instruction along with the development of teacher capacity and improved whole school student literacy outcomes.

Intervention Coach Role</u></strong></p><ul><li>be familiar with, and comply with, the school’s child-safe policy standards and MACS code of conduct, and any other policies and procedures relating to child safety</li><li>be a member of the School Leadership Team, actively participating in weekly leadership meetings</li><li>plan strategically with the Principal, Deputy Principal (Learning &amp; Teaching) and Learning Diversity Leader for whole school improvement in Numeracy</li><li>keep up to date with professional reading and evidence/research based practice developments in Numeracy learning, passing on relevant knowledge to Leadership and staff</li><li>implement MACS Vision For Instruction in line with the 2024-2027 School Improvement Plan</li><li>plan and lead Numeracy professional learning for staff including the induction of new staff to build expertise and consistency</li><li>guide, facilitate, mentor, model, coach and support classroom teachers and staff to implement best practice in Numeracy education</li><li>attend and lead Level Planning meetings to assist class teachers in the planning of Numeracy</li><li>use data and the School Improvement Framework to drive the Numeracy Annual Action Plan</li><li>collaborate with Deputy Principal (Learning &amp; Teaching) to manage, analyse and act on Numeracy data</li><li>co-ordinate the F-6 assessment schedule in Numeracy and monitor the collection of data and assess individual students on a need’s basis</li><li>complete MACS surveys as required including the beginning and end of year Numeracy Data Collection</li><li>monitor classroom teachers Numeracy documentation and ensure compliance with school and system requirements</li><li>assist and support teachers in completing, analysing and documenting assessment records as a means of knowing learners&#39; next steps and their growth over time</li><li>monitor and assess student performance data to inform teaching and learning support in conjunction with year level teams and leaders</li><li>clearly document programs and planned support and regularly feedback to leadership and classroom teachers </li><li>reliably report and provide frequent feedback to teachers about students about their learning and to families on student learning</li><li>plan for the ‘exit’ from programs and support teachers in monitoring the ongoing progress of students who have been part of intervention programs</li><li>liaise with the Principal / Deputy Principals and the Learning Diversity leader regarding the successful implementation of Intervention programming</li><li>attend and actively participate in meetings with the Intervention team to lead and support procedures and programs that make adjustments for students at risk, address acute or immediate needs and provide extension for high performing learners</li><li>attend and actively participate in MACS/Region Numeracy related Networks and meetings providing relevant feedback to the Leadership team and staff</li><li>provide Parent Education in Numeracy through the school newsletter articles, Seesaw, website and parent information sessions</li><li>ensure that the appropriate resources are available for effective learning and teaching in Numeracy</li><li>co-ordinate the Numeracy budget liaising with the Deputy Principal (Learning and Teaching), and other relevant leaders </li><li>oversee the organisation, purchasing and storage of Numeracy resources and complete an annual audit</li><li>oversee the planning, organisation &amp; communication of Numeracy Week, including the selection and participation of students in various state and international Mathematics Competitions. </li><li>assist in the compilation of the ‘Annual Report to The Community’</li><li>undertake any other duties as negotiated/specified with the Principal or delegate.</li></ul><p><strong>TENURE, CONDITIONS AND REQUIREMENTS CLASSIFICATION: </strong></p><p>Position of Leadership Level 2 (To be determined through consultation.)</p><p>F.T.E: 0.8 – 1.0</p><p><strong>TENURE </strong></p><p>3 -year appointment.</p><p>This is to align with a 3-year leadership appointment cycle to commence 2025</p><p><strong>APPRAISALS </strong></p><p>Progressive Appraisal Meeting</p><p>360 Feedback &amp;
