Director of Learning

We are a Catholic Coeducational Secondary College with two campuses, set on approximately 20 hectares of beautiful gardens and playing fields. MacKillop is an innovative learning community offering contemporary facilities, a vibrant curriculum and supportive wellbeing programs that are respectful and responsive to the individual needs of approximately 1,730 students from Years 7-12.
<p>We are seeking a dynamic and innovative educator to join our team of Directors’ of Learning and play a pivotal role in leading and promoting a contemporary and consistent approach to learning and teaching pedagogy across the College. </p><p>In this role you will influence, guide and mentor Teachers in the development, implementation and evaluation of curriculum and educational resources in accordance with the MacKillop College learning goals and educational strategies. This position of leadership will work in collaboration Learning Area Leaders, and Teachers, who together will cultivate a culture of professional relationships, and a commitment to excellence in pedagogy, and a vision for educational innovation and continuous improvement. </p><p>As a mentor, the Director will support the practice and professional development of Teachers and champion opportunities to work closely with instructional coaches and the College Leadership team. </p><p>To be successful, we need an authentic role model, with exemplary classroom practice, who can evaluate the effectiveness of learning and teaching practice and inspire Teachers to embrace new and emerging practices that are contemporary and evidence based. </p><p>At MacKillop College our teachers enjoy the benefit of a welcoming and supportive culture, contemporary teaching facilities and professional support which includes, a team of dedicated instructional coaches and teacher mentors.
