<p>St Bede’s Catholic College, Chisholm is seeking 2 x Permanent Part Time (24 hours per week) Learning Support Assistants to join the team in January 2025.<br><br>St Bede’s Catholic College, in the recently established suburb of Chisholm, is a new co-educational Catholic secondary school that is part of the Diocese of Maitland-Newcastle.<br>The College opened in 2018 and will eventually cater for 1,100 students in Years 7 to 12.<br>Currently, the College has approximately 850 Year 7-12 students, with the second Year 12 cohort having recently graduated.&nbsp;<br><br>The key components that drive the development of the school are Courage, Knowledge, Community and Faith.<br>These components align to the four domains of the College’s Strategic Plan – Catholic Formation and Mission, Learning and Teaching, Leadership, Wellbeing and Partnerships.<br><br><br><br><a href="https://diocesemn.azurewebsites.net/media/5659/position_description_-_cso_-_learning_support_assistant.pdf"><strong>POSITION DESCRIPTION</strong></a><br><br>Learning Support Assistants (LSA) in a Catholic school have a unique role to play and are assigned with the task of supporting teachers in ensuring each child has the opportunity to grow both academically and spiritually and to live a purposeful life.<br>&nbsp;</p><ul><li>Supported by the Catholic community, of which they are a vital part, LSAs support teachers in inviting students and their families into a faith-filled educational experience<br>&nbsp;</li><li>LSAs support the promotion of the school as a place of learning and excellence where creativity and curiosity are nurtured and students are connected with their world through deep learning and engagement<br>&nbsp;</li><li>Under the direction of teachers, LSAs provide support and assistance in school routines; classroom activities; and the care and support of students with disability.<br>&nbsp;</li></ul>
