Redeemer Lutheran College is seeking an experienced Library Assistant. This position is a permanent term time position, working 29 hours per week, commencing 17 January 2025.

<p><strong>About the role:</strong></p><p>The Library Assistant supports the daily operations of the college library, ensuring it is a welcoming, resourceful and engaging space for students, staff and the college community.  The Library Assistant is a supportive team member working as directed by the Teacher Librarian.</p><p>This position includes (but not limited to) the following:</p><ul><li>Support the daily operations of the college library;</li><li>Help organise and maintain accurate records of the library usage and library collections;</li><li>Assist students in locating and selecting appropriate resources while also promoting library events and activities to encourage a love of reading and learning;</li><li>Assist teachers in finding and recommending resources that align with their curriculum and  provide basic technology support for library equipment.</li></ul><p><strong>Skills and Experience:</strong></p><ul><li>Experience in school library highly desirable;</li><li>Understanding of the Oliver Library management system would be preferable;</li><li>Excellent time management and organization skills;</li><li>Intermediate skills with Word, Excel and Outlook;</li><li>The ability to support the Christian ethos of the College.</li></ul><p>A Position Description for this role is available at <a href="https://www.redeemer.com.au/about-us/employment" rel="nofollow">https://www.redeemer.com.au/about-us/employment</a> </p><p>Redeemer Lutheran College is committed to the wellbeing and safety of students in it care.  Blue Card legislation states a “No Card, No Start” policy.  This means that paid employees must hold a current Paid Blue Card/Exemption Card or be issued with a Paid Blue Card/Exemption Card before they can commence work.  Candidates may wish to consider how their Blue Card status will affect their suitably for this position as a Blue Card/Exemption Card is an inherent requirement of the role, prior to a state date.  For more information on Blue Card/Exemption Cards, please go to the Blue Card Services website. </p><p><i>Applications must be received electronically via </i><a href="mailto:jobs&#64;redeemer.com.au" rel="nofollow"><i>jobs&#64;redeemer.com.au</i></a><i> indicated above and not posted or hand delivered to the College.
