<p dir="ltr">Applications are invited from dynamic educators for the Literacy Coordinator position. The preferred candidate will be enthusiastic, keen to engage and inspire our students, and able to deliver a curriculum that caters to students with different learning styles.</p>
<p dir="ltr">You will be responsible for the College Literacy Program. You will have the ability to develop positive relationships, foster a culture of collaboration and inquiry and be proactive in your support of the Catholic mission and values of the College.</p>
<p dir="ltr"><strong>Position Highlights</strong></p>
<p dir="ltr">The successful applicant will join the school, which focuses on providing quality Catholic education and maximising student outcomes by offering a rich, relevant, and holistic curriculum that is student-centred, flexible, and challenging.</p>
<p dir="ltr">The Literacy Coordinator is a 1 point Middle Leader position, an expert teacher skilled in language and literacy analysis to support the learning growth of all students. This role focuses on improving the literacy skills of students to enhance their comprehension, critical thinking and creative writing skills. The Literacy Coordinator works closely with the teaching staff to embed literacy strategies across all KLAs and collaborates with the Teaching and Learning Coordinator to analyse data, strategically implement the whole school Literacy Plan and liaise with our feeder primary schools to assist Stage 3 students transition to high school.</p>
<p dir="ltr">The Literacy Coordinator 1 is a promotional role, temporary for up to 3 years. However, your classroom teaching position (1FTE) will be full-time and permanent. Your promotional role will entail release time and will be to model classroom practitioner excellence, improve learning outcomes and bring about change in the instruction of teachers 7-12.</p>
<p dir="ltr">This full-time, permanent Literacy Coordinator role is scheduled to commence on Friday, 31 January 2025<strong>.</strong></p>

<p dir="ltr">As <strong>Literacy Coordinator</strong>, you work to ensure every student reaches their full potential through high-quality, collaborative and engaging pedagogy.</p>

<p dir="ltr">You will have attained:</p>
<ul>
<li>a tertiary qualification in Education</li>
<li>eligibility according to the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA)</li>
<li>Religious Education qualifications or the willingness to achieve them as per<a href="https://sydcatholicschools.nsw.edu.au/policies/accreditation-policy-to-work-teach-and-lead-in-sydney-catholic-schools"> <span style="text-decoration: underline;">Accreditation Policy to Work, Teach, and Lead</span></a> (desirable).</li>
