Base salary ranges from $85,000 to $122,100</li> <li>an additional coordinator allowance on top of your base salary</li> <li>salary packaging of up to $15,900 annually</li> <li>up to 25% discount on school fees for parents of SCS students</li> <li>ongoing training and development opportunities</li> <li>discounts on gym classes and memberships, activewear, healthy meals, and wellbeing products</li> <li>generous Employee Referral Program.</li> </ul> <p dir="ltr"><strong>About you</strong></p> <p dir="ltr">As a<strong> Social Justice Coordinator</strong>, you work to ensure every student reaches their full potential through high-quality, collaborative and engaging approaches to social justice.</p> <p dir="ltr">To excel in this role, you will be able to:</p> <ul> <li>commit to the practice of the Catholic Faith, with a well-developed understanding of the evangelising and catechising mission of the Catholic Church</li> <li>create a faith community that brings the Gospel and teachings of the Catholic Church to all the students, families and staff</li> <li>demonstrate experience and skills in engaging young people into the diverse works of the Catholic Church</li> <li>commit to participate in and contribute to formation programs facilitated by Sydney Catholic Schools</li> <li>show highly developed interpersonal and communication skills</li> <li>demonstrate group and teamwork facilitation skills</li> <li>foster and strengthen relationships between the school and parish communities</li> <li>demonstrate excellent time management, organisational and administrative skills.</li> </ul> <p dir="ltr"><strong>About the Role</strong></p> <p dir="ltr">As a member of the school's Religious Education team, the <strong>Social Justice Coordinator</strong> will play a key role in supporting the Religious Education Coordinator in developing and implementing social justice programs across the school, promoting initiatives, and building a thriving Catholic community. This position requires an outstanding educator with a well-developed capacity to advance the social justice mission of Catholic schools in the Archdiocese of Sydney.</p> <p dir="ltr">To be a successful candidate you need to demonstrate:</p> <ul> <li>knowledge of Catholic Social Teaching</li> <li>experience in social work, social justice, social welfare and/or education</li> <li>excellent interpersonal/communication skills</li> <li>skills in enabling and empowering others</li> <li>ability to collaborate and network with like-minded agencies</li> <li>strong written and verbal communication skills</li> <li>time management skills</li> <li>an independent work ethic with the ability to work constructively in a team environment</li> <li>ability to develop and monitor program plans and budget</li> <li>a demonstrated personal commitment to the ethos and values of the Catholic Church and a passion for social justice.</li> </ul> <p dir="ltr">You will have attained:</p> <ul> <li>a tertiary qualification in Education</li> <li>eligibility according to the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA)</li> <li>Religious Education qualifications or the willingness to achieve them as per<a href="https://sydcatholicschools.nsw.edu.au/policies/accreditation-policy-to-work-teach-and-lead-in-sydney-catholic-schools"> <span style="text-decoration: underline;">Accreditation Policy to Work, Teach, and Lead</span></a>.</li> </ul> <p dir="ltr"><strong>Application Process</strong></p> <p dir="ltr">Please click on the 'Apply' button and follow the steps to submit your application.
