Join us in nurturing the next generation in a school where every child can truly shine!&nbsp;</p><p><strong>About the Role&nbsp;</strong></p><p>The Student Welfare Officer supports the wellbeing of school students through the provision of pastoral care services. They implement strategies to support the wellbeing of the broader school community.</p><p>Student Welfare Officers are required to complete a three-hour (during work hours) online professional learning package (PLP) aimed at responding to and preventing cyberbullying.</p><p><strong>Benefits and Opportunities&nbsp;</strong></p><ul><li>A positive and collaborative workplace culture&nbsp;</li><li>24 weeks of paid parental leave (maternity/adoption)&nbsp;</li><li>Up to 14 weeks of paid parental leave (paternity/non-initial primary carer leave)&nbsp;</li><li>Support for professional development and study opportunities&nbsp;</li><li>Opportunities to transfer to other schools within the Archdiocese across ACT and NSW to support lifestyle choice&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>Key Responsibilities&nbsp;</strong></p><ul><li>Provide pastoral care services.</li><li>Implement strategies that support the wellbeing of the broader school community.</li><li>Accompany students on excursions.</li><li>Coordinate and participate in volunteer activities with students in the community.</li><li>Develop, facilitate, or participate in parent/carer workshops and meetings.</li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications&nbsp;&nbsp;</strong></p><ul><li>Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) and Working with Children’s Check (WWCC) registrations.</li><li>Completed Certificate IV Youth Work; or</li><li>Completed Certificate IV Pastoral Care; or</li><li>Diploma or Bachelor in relevant field.</li></ul><p><strong>Other Eligibility Criteria&nbsp;</strong></p><ul><li>You must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident to be eligible to apply for this position.&nbsp;</li><li>Appointment is subject to satisfactory employment screening for child-related employment in accordance with CECG policy.&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>Application Process&nbsp;</strong></p><p>Applicants are required to submit a current resume and a cover letter that addresses the selection criteria as outlined in the Position Description.&nbsp;</p><p>This position involves working with children.
