<p dir="ltr"><strong>About the Position</strong></p>
<p dir="ltr">In this unique school role, you will be required to lead a team to support the pastoral and wellbeing needs of students K-6. You will initiate and coordinate a variety of programs and classroom practices that build opportunites for students to develop a deep connection to their learning. The school engages in the SCS 'Schoolwide Positive Behaviours for Learning' (SPBL) program, and will begin a partnership with 'The Resilience Project' in 2025. The role is full-time, out of class, and you may have a background in either Primary or Secondary education to apply. This deeply rewarding opportunity requires you to demonstrate your strong attributes of empathy, creativity and teamwork. The role is scheduled to commence on <strong>Friday, 31 January 2025</strong>.</p>
<p dir="ltr">The Coordinator 2 position is an 2-point promotional role, temporary for up to 3 years, however your teaching position will be full-time and permanent.<br /><br /><strong>About You</strong><br /><br />As a <strong>Coordinator 2</strong>, you will lead the school's wellbeing practices, creating a safe and supportive environment that prioritises students' wellbeing and resilience, leading to academic success. <br /><br />To excel in this role, you will be able to:</p>
<ul>
<li>ensure evidence-based structures are in place to recognise and respond appropriately to support the wellbeing of staff and students</li>
<li>lead professional learning for staff in student wellbeing initiatives</li>
<li>lead programming and classroom practice, focusing on the Personal Development and Health strands</li>
<li>use strong interpersonal and communication skills to lead parent initiatives</li>
<li>lead and demonstrate exemplary classroom and playground management practices</li>
<li>utilise your strong knowledge of research to prioritise the wellbeing needs of staff</li>
<li>liaise with external agencies that provide support to targeted students</li>
<li>utilise a variety of assessments to drive student progress, particularly the SCS Schoolwide Evaluation Tool (SET)</li>
<li>support the inclusive Catholic religious and cultural environment for students.</li>
</ul>
<p dir="ltr">You will have attained:</p>
<ul>
<li>a tertiary qualification in Education</li>
<li>eligibility according to the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA)</li>
<li>Religious Education qualifications or the willingness to achieve them as per<a href="https://sydcatholicschools.nsw.edu.au/policies/accreditation-policy-to-work-teach-and-lead-in-sydney-catholic-schools"> <span style="text-decoration: underline;">Accreditation Policy to Work, Teach, and Lead</span></a>.</li>
