<ul><li><strong>Full Time position</strong></li><li><strong>Attractive release time for professional planning and preparation</strong></li><li><strong>Immediate commencement</strong></li></ul><p> </p><p><strong>The Role:</strong></p><p>Cheshire School, an interim special assistance school, is seeking a dynamic and motivated classroom teacher to join our dedicated team. As a teacher at Cheshire School, you will be responsible for designing and delivering engaging and differentiated lessons to students who have significant social, emotional and behavioural challenges. Your role will be to support and guide these students towards success, using innovative and engaging teaching methods and a strong sense of empathy.</p><p>You will work collaboratively with the school&#39;s multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for each student, ensuring that their academic, social, and emotional needs are met.</p><p><strong>You will stand out if you:</strong></p><ul><li>Are patient, empathetic, and have a flexible approach to teaching</li><li>Have the ability to differentiate instruction to meet the unique needs of each student</li><li>Are highly motivated and have a strong passion for working with students who require extra support and are motivated to encourage them to achieve their fullest potential</li><li>Have creativity in developing engaging and innovative lessons</li><li>Have a positive attitude and a commitment to building relationships and students&#39; self-esteem and resilience </li></ul><p> </p><p><strong>In addition to the above you will need the following to be considered for this role:</strong></p><ul><li>A <strong>Bachelor of Education (Primary)</strong> or equivalent qualification</li><li>Have current <strong>Victorian Institute of Teaching</strong> (VIT) registration</li><li>Experience working with children with social, emotional, and behavioural difficulties</li><li>Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team</li><li>Knowledge of the Victorian Curriculum and experience designing and delivering differentiated lessons</li><li>Ability to implement and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs)</li><li>Strong behaviour management skills and experience creating a positive and supportive classroom environment </li></ul><p> </p><p><strong>What we offer:</strong></p><ul><li>Competitive annual salary with generous salary packaging of up to $15,900 each FBT year</li><li>On-going full-time role with an immediate start</li><li>Paid Parental Leave program for all on-going employees (after 12 months’ of service)</li><li>Be part of a close knit and dedicated team who are supportive and work collaboratively</li><li>Chance to make a meaningful impact on the lives of children with social, emotional, and behavioural difficulties</li><li>Continuous professional development opportunities to enhance teaching and behaviour management skills</li><li>Access to Employee Wellbeing Program</li></ul><p> </p><p><strong>About us:</strong></p><p>bestchance Child Family Care is a not-for-profit organisation with the aim of building stronger communities, healthier families and happier childhoods.  We achieve this through our Cheshire School, care and therapy services for children, our support programs for families, and our registered training organisation.</p><p>Cheshire School is a small independent school which focusses on supporting students to be the very best version of themselves.
