Apply now and embrace an exciting journey of teaching and professional growth.<br><br><strong>About Our School</strong><br><br>St Charles Catholic Primary School Ryde commenced in 1858 with an enrolment of 30 children. When state aid was withdrawn in 1878, there was an influx of nuns and brothers of religious orders from Europe to teach in the schools. The Sisters of St Joseph of the Sacred Heart (Brown Josephites) taught in the school from 1883-1891.<br><br>In 1892, the Little Company of Mary Sisters (LCM) took over St Charles School because Cardinal Moran would not allow Catholic children to go to state schools. In 1898, the LCM Sisters handed the school over to the Sisters of Mercy with an enrolment of 25 children. The new brick school building commenced in 1899. The next section, a two story structure, opened in 1938. In 1983, the new hall and library were opened and finally, in 1988, eight new classrooms were built.&nbsp;<br><br>St Charles Catholic Primary School Ryde provides a quality education in the Catholic tradition. Base salary ranges from $85,000 to $122,100</li><li>salary packaging of up to $15,900 annually</li><li>up to 25% discount on school fees for parents of SCS students</li><li>ongoing training and development opportunities</li><li>discounts on gym classes and memberships, activewear, healthy meals, and wellbeing products</li><li>generous Employee Referral Program.</li></ul><p><strong>About You</strong><br><br>As a <strong>Teacher</strong>, you work to ensure every student reaches their full potential through high-quality, collaborative and engaging pedagogy.<br><br>To excel in this role, you will be able to:</p><ul><li>create and implement engaging, rigorous planned learning experiences catering to the diverse needs of students</li><li>demonstrate sound knowledge in developing a K-6 Curriculum and the application of effective learning pedagogies</li><li>utilise formative and summative assessments to drive student progress</li><li>employ a data-informed approach to setting challenging learning objectives and providing constructive feedback</li><li>support the inclusive Catholic religious and cultural environment for students</li><li>demonstrate excellent classroom management skills focused on student well-being</li><li>integrate technology to enhance contemporary learning experiences.</li></ul><p>You will have attained:</p><ul><li>a tertiary qualification in Education</li><li>eligibility according to the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA)</li><li>Religious Education qualifications or the willingness to achieve them as per <a href="https://sydcatholicschools.nsw.edu.au/policies/accreditation-policy-to-work-teach-and-lead-in-sydney-catholic-schools"><u>Accreditation Policy to Work, Teach, and Lead</u></a>.</li></ul><p><strong>Application Process</strong><br><br>Please click on the 'Apply' button and follow the steps to submit your application.
