This position will be on the La Valla Campus.<br><br>All members of staff at MCCNS are called to serve the community with their giftedness. A sense of collaboration, dialogue, compassion and sincerity set a dynamic culture for educators to pursue scholastic paths for students that enable them to become the best person they can be.</p><p>The ability to teach Religious Education or have the capacity to attain qualifications towards being an accredited Religious Education teacher is mandatory for this position.</p><p><strong>Position Highlights</strong></p><p>The successful applicant will join the school with a focus on providing quality Catholic education, maximising student outcomes by offering a rich, relevant and holistic curriculum that is student centred, flexible and challenging.</p><p>The Year Coordinator (2pt) is a promotional role, temporary for up to 3 years, however your teaching position will be full-time and permanent. Base salary ranges from $85,000 to $122,100</li><li>salary packaging of up to $15,900 annually</li><li>up to 25% discount on school fees for parents of SCS students</li><li>ongoing training and development opportunities</li><li>discounts on gym classes and memberships, activewear, healthy meals, and wellbeing products</li><li>generous Employee Referral Program.</li></ul><p><strong>About You</strong><br><br>As a <strong>Year Coordinator (2pt)</strong>, you work to ensure every student reaches their full potential through high quality, collaborative and engaging pedagogy.</p><p>The Year Coordinator will have;</p><ul><li>a commitment to Catholic education, a clear understanding of the vision and mission of Catholic Schools and a willingness to support the faith formation of students</li><li>exemplary classroom practice, including the application of a range of evidence-based pedagogical practices that support effective learning and, critically, student growth</li><li>highly developed interpersonal skills reflecting an ability to effectively communicate with parents, staff and students</li><li>an ability to work collaboratively, undertaking responsibilities leading and working with the Wellbeing Coordinator, the Assistant Principal (La Valla) and as required by other College Leadership Group members</li><li>an openness with colleagues to build genuine and professional relationships and to promote shared commitment and a sense of alignment with College strategic directions and the Annual Improvement Plan.</li></ul><p>The Year Coordinator will;</p><ul><li>have qualifications or undertake steps for qualification to teach Religious Education</li><li>be an excellent communicator, as they will be called upon to liaise with the Leaders of Learning, Wellbeing Coordinators, and the Heads of Campus</li><li>formulate a yearly plan as well as goal setting for the Wellbeing Directorate, work collaboratively to determine work responsibilities and tasks for the Directorate and organise accordingly</li><li>continue to develop their leadership skills and formation with support from the College in Professional Learning and mentoring.</li></ul><p>To excel in this role, you will be able to:</p><ul><li>create and implement engaging, rigorous planned learning experiences catering to the diverse needs of students</li><li>utilise formative and summative assessments to drive student progress</li><li>employ a data-informed approach to setting challenging learning objectives and providing constructive feedback</li><li>support the inclusive Catholic religious and cultural environment for students</li><li>demonstrate excellent classroom management skills focused on student well-being</li><li>integrate technology to enhance contemporary learning experiences.</li></ul><p>You will have attained:</p><ul><li>a tertiary qualification in Education</li><li>eligibility according to the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA)</li><li>Religious Education qualifications or the willingness to achieve them as per<a href="https://sydcatholicschools.nsw.edu.au/policies/accreditation-policy-to-work-teach-and-lead-in-sydney-catholic-schools"> <u>Accreditation Policy to Work, Teach, and Lead</u></a>.</li></ul><p><strong>Application Process</strong></p><p>Please click on the 'Apply' button and follow the steps to submit your application.
