<p><strong>Location:</strong> St Francis Catholic College, Edmondson Park</p><p>St Francis Catholic College, Edmondson Park is located near the junction of the M5 and M7 motorways. It is a rapidly growing K-12 school with a student population exceeding 1500 students in 2024. The college is one school, not a traditional primary school and high school coexisting on the same site.&nbsp; As such, the College is organised into Junior Years Learning (K-4), Middle Years Learning (5-8), and Senior Years Learning (9-12). St Francis is finalising its 7th Stage of Building Development and offers state-of-the-art learning &amp; specialist KLA facilities.</p><p>A temporary part time (F.T.E. 0.7) parental leave replacement position 31 January 2025 until 26 September 2025 (with a possibility of extension until the 19 December 2025), An additional teaching load (F.T.E. 0.3) is a possibility, teaching in any KLA for Years 7-12.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p>The successful applicant will advocate and provide quality pathways and employment education programs that develop students’ skills, knowledge, and capabilities for post-school opportunities. The successful applicant will provide links with external agencies supporting career development and education, ensuring that students are aware of post-school options in order to make informed decisions and be prepared for the transition to post-school life.&nbsp;</p><p>ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:</p><ul><li>Demonstrate a deep understanding and commitment to the mission and purpose of the Catholic School within the broader Catholic Church.</li><li>Create and maintain an orderly, safe, and supportive learning environment based on the principles of PB4L.</li><li>Apply knowledge of the diverse needs of students to support their full participation in learning.</li><li>Ability to plan for and implement effective teaching and learning.</li><li>Use a range of assessment strategies and analyse data to inform student learning.</li><li>Demonstrate commitment to engage professionally with colleagues, parents /carers, and the wider school community.</li></ul><p>DESIRABLE SELECTION CRITERIA</p><ul><li>Career Counselling Experience and an understanding of Vocational Education and Training (VET).</li><li>Be an active member of various Career Associations such as the local Career Adviser Network, the Career Advisers Association NSW &amp; ACT (CAA), the Career Development Association of Australia (CDAA), and/or the Career Industry Council of Australia.</li></ul><p>GENERAL CAPABILITIES</p><ul><li>Well-developed interpersonal skills.</li><li>Well-developed oral and written communication skills.</li><li>Strong organisational skills.</li><li>Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.</li></ul><p>QUALIFICATIONS</p><ul><li>Appropriate qualifications for teaching nominated Key Learning Area (s).</li><li>Level B Accreditation in accordance with To Work, Teach and Lead policy or a commitment to gain level within the first 5 years of employment with CEDoW.</li><li>The applicant must be registered to teach with NESA.</li></ul><p>WORKING WITH CHILDREN CLEARANCE</p><p>This role is classified as child-related work and therefore a Working With Children Check (WWCC) is required prior to your employment with CEDoW.</p><p>POSITION APPLICATION&nbsp;</p><p>Applicants are to complete an online application that asks to briefly address the essential criteria (equivalent to 2-3 pages) and submit a short CV (2-3 pages).</p><p>To submit your Application please select the 'Apply Now' button at the bottom of this advertisement.</p><p><strong>Closing date: 6th November 2024 at 9am</strong></p>
