The Director of Schools invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced personnel for the full time position of Team Leader, Improvement, Learning and Wellbeing - Learning K-12 (Secondary), based at the Catholic Education Office (CEO) Wollongong.

<p><strong>Location:</strong> Catholic Education Office, Wollongong</p><p>The Director of Schools invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced personnel for the full time position of Team Leader - Learning K-12 (Secondary).&nbsp;</p><p>Internally the position holds the title of Team Leader, Improvement, Learning and Wellbeing - Learning K-12 (Secondary), due to the core role it plays within the broader Improvement, Learning and Wellbeing team. This position is based at&nbsp;the Catholic Education Office (CEO) Wollongong.</p><p>The initial contract period is for five (5) years. This will include mid contract reviews, one at the end of the first year, and again in the year before the final contract year, as per CEDoW policies on performance appraisal.</p><p>Reporting to the Head of Learning K-12, the Team Leader - Learning K-12 (Secondary), is a senior leadership position within the Improvement, Learning and Wellbeing Service Area with the specific focus on leading the work of the Learning K-12 team to build capacity and deliver services and professional expertise to support the system's strategic plan Lighting The Way to bring about improvement of learning outcomes across the diocesan system of Catholic Secondary &amp; K-12 schools. The Team Leader - Learning K-12 (Secondary) will:</p><ul><li>Coordinate the structures and operational processes that enable Education Officers to deliver appropriate support and innovation to drive improvement for students through building the capacity of teachers and school leadership teams.&nbsp;<br><br>&nbsp;</li><li>Demonstrate the requisite experience and knowledge of the new 7-12 curriculum reforms and school function, while simultaneously applying an understanding of the full K-12 learning continuum to their leadership of the Learning K-12 team.<br><br>&nbsp;</li><li>Operate in close collaboration with the Team Leader - Learning K-12 (Primary), Heads of Continuous Catholic School Improvement and other service areas, in particular Catholic Life, Education and Mission (CLEM), to support schools at their point of need with syllabus implementation, curriculum requirements and effective pedagogies.</li></ul><p><strong>Essential Selection Criteria:</strong></p><ul><li>A deep understanding and commitment to the mission and purpose of a Catholic school within the broader evangelising mission of the Catholic Church.</li><li>Demonstrates a well-articulated Catholic pedagogy and capacity to align to CEDoW programs, frameworks and policies.</li><li>Has highly developed interpersonal and organisational skills with a particular capacity to inspire staff, bring about change and work towards achieving the CEDoW strategic goals.</li><li>Thoroughly developed understanding of the continuum of learning progression from Kindergarten to Year 12 (without, necessarily, the experience of teaching or leading across the entire continuum).</li><li>Proven experience as a system or school-wide leader of learning with a proven ability to implement effective teaching and learning programs.</li><li>Demonstrated understanding of adult learning principles and an ability to deliver learning to a range of audiences.&nbsp;</li><li>Capacity to build a learning culture of shared responsibility for quality teaching and student learning growth, informed by system and school data.</li><li>Commitment to engage professionally with colleagues and other stakeholders of CEDoW.&nbsp;</li><li>Proven capacity to assist Leadership Teams to drive improvement initiatives aligned to broader system strategic directions.</li><li>Demonstrates an ability to develop and sustain productive working relationships.</li><li>Demonstrates competent Information and Communication Technology skills.</li></ul><p><strong>The following General Capabilities are applicable to the role:</strong></p><ul><li>NESA Accreditation to teach in NSW.</li><li>A minimum of 10 years teaching experience or equivalent in a similar setting.</li><li>Middle leader school experience or a demonstrated capacity leading improvement in learning and wellbeing in a school or similar educational context.</li><li>Tertiary qualifications in teaching/education or aligned discipline.</li><li>Evidence of relevant ongoing professional learning&nbsp;</li><li>Capacity to use ICT applications with a high degree of competency</li><li>All CEDoW staff are required to obtain the required level of religious accreditation as outlined in Work Teach and Lead.
