Catholic Education Diocese of Wollongong (CEDoW) comprises 38 Catholic schools with more than 20,000 students enrolled across the Illawarra, Macarthur, Shoalhaven and Southern Highlands regions.

The position is directly responsible for leading a team that develops and delivers a range of programs and professional development that builds the leadership capacity of CEDoW staff including Teachers, Middle Leaders, Assistant Principals, Principals and Corporate Services personnel. Key duties include:</p><ul><li>Developing, leading and executing a professional development strategy for CEDoW employees across all functions of the organisation</li><li>Build leadership capacity of staff through the development of and presentation of targeted professional learning opportunities</li><li>Develop, review, publish and implement frameworks, guidelines and policies which support ongoing workforce professional growth</li><li>Support and collaborate with School Leaders, internal and external stakeholders</li><li>Support workforce planning and management</li><li>Lead and Manage the Leadership and Professional Growth team and work to support Continuous Catholic School Improvement</li><li>Oversee the management of NESA Teacher Accreditation Processes and Requirements for compliance</li><li>Management and oversight of performance appraisal process for senior leaders in schools&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>ESSENTIAL SELECTION CRITERIA</strong></p><ul><li>Extensive experience at the school leadership level or equivalent</li><li>Ability to articulate and implement a clear vision for leadership and professional growth aligned to the workforce strategy</li><li>Knowledge and understanding of the system of Catholic schools&nbsp;</li><li>Excellent written and oral communication skills</li><li>Well developed project management skills</li><li>Competence in presenting to groups of adults demonstrating knowledge of and ability to implement adult learning strategies</li><li>Significant capacity to develop and deliver well targeted training packages for the development of leadership skills</li></ul><p><strong>QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE</strong></p><ul><li>Over five year experience as a School Principal or equivalent experience in a senior managerial role</li><li>Post graduate qualifications in a relevant academic discipline (educational leadership, theology, organisational development, etc)</li><li>Proven evidence of experience and capacity to coach and mentor staff (for example as an Accredited GROWTH Coach/ Approved OTL Leadership facilitator/ Approved GENOS facilitator)</li></ul><p><strong>WORKING WITH CHILDREN CLEARANCE</strong></p><p>This role is classified as child related work and therefore a Working With Children Check (WWCC) is required prior to your employment with CEDoW.</p><p><strong>POSITION APPLICATION</strong></p><p>Applicants are asked to briefly address the essential criteria (equivalent to 2 pages).</p><p>Applicants also provide a cover letter Expression of Interest (1 page) and attach their CV / career history</p><p>To confidentially discuss your interest in this position please contact Natasha O’Donoghue, Assistant Director- People and Culture on 02 4250 9554.</p><p>This position is child related work.
