<p><strong>Location: </strong>Within schools, CBD and WFH<br><strong>Commencement Date:</strong> January 2025<br><strong>Closing Date: </strong>Monday, 4 November 2024<br><strong>Capacity:</strong> Full-time/Part-time, permanent</p><p><strong>About the Role</strong></p><p>The Specialist: Leadership Growth and Engagement works collaboratively with Principals and experts in Sydney Catholic Schools (SCS) directorates to strengthen the leadership competency and capability of aspiring, emerging and existing leaders in primary and secondary schools.&nbsp;<br><br>We are open to considering both full-time and part-time candidates for this position.<br><br>Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:</p><ul><li>ensuring leadership onboarding programs, and system wide coaching and mentoring programs operate effectively to achieve desired impacts and outcomes</li><li>implementing, evaluating and embedding traditional leadership progression strategies and exploring innovative pathways to support the development and retention of high potential leaders</li><li>promoting engagement in leadership development and formation study, programs and/or activities for aspiring, emerging and existing leaders</li><li>leveraging the opportunities 'systemness' presents by connecting Principals and leadership teams with experts across the Archdiocese, and establishing opportunities for leaders to learn, improve and/or enhance their own individual leadership capability and capacity within their own school</li><li>establishing, embedding and continuously evaluating leadership micro-credentialing as a means to building leadership density and retaining quality leaders</li><li>providing differentiated and targeted assistance to school leaders to shape, embed and sustain high performance cultures</li><li>providing high impact leadership and support across the current and future school leadership cohort as measured by data and insights in the areas of Leader Engagement; Leadership Growth and Retention; and School Performance and Culture</li><li>providing expertise to lead and support the delivery of SCS' educational and mission strategy in localised school settings with school leaders</li><li>any other duties as directed from time to time.</li></ul><p><strong>About You</strong></p><p>We are seeking a professional candidate with the following experience, skills and knowledge:</p><ul><li>postgraduate qualifications in Education and/or Curriculum, Research or Leadership</li><li>demonstrated understanding and capability to develop leaders and support leader succession initiatives and plans</li><li>a deep understanding of a standards informed environment influencing effective leadership coaching, mentoring, development, and formation experiences and programs</li><li>a practising Catholic with demonstrated evidence of ongoing commitment to the teachings of the Catholic Church and engagement in the life of a Catholic faith community such as a parish or an established community within the Catholic Church, as an expression of their relationship with Jesus Christ.</li></ul><p><strong>Desirable</strong></p><ul><li>knowledge of Catholic Systemic Schools/Systems</li><li>significant experience as a School Principal</li><li>experience leading an effective school leadership team</li><li>experience in connecting, collaborating and leveraging skill, talent and resources across schools</li><li>extensive operational systemic knowledge</li><li>a current driver's licence and access to a car.</li></ul><p><strong>Why Work for Sydney Catholic Schools</strong><br><br>In joining SCS, you will be part of the largest Catholic education community in NSW.
