Our college has high expectations for student success and provides exceptional support to achieve this goal.  </p><p><strong>Why work for us?</strong></p><p>Our team is at the heart of what we do at Manning Valley Anglican College, and Newcastle Anglican Schools Corporation. As a part of our organisation, you have access to the following great benefits:</p><ul><li>Up to 40% discount on school enrolment fees at any of our Newcastle Anglican schools</li><li>Salary packaging options (maximise your take home pay)</li><li>Discounted private health insurance through Medibank</li><li>Career and development opportunities – we want you to flourish!</li><li>Free access to our corporate Employee Assistance Program</li><li>14 weeks paid parental leave or 3 weeks paid partner leave</li></ul><p><strong>Essential Criteria:</strong></p><ul><li>Relevant Teaching qualifications and preferably Post Graduate Qualifications in Special Education or Inclusive Education</li><li>Fully registered teacher with the New South Wales Education Standards Authority (NESA) or the appropriate regulatory authority</li><li>Current Working with Children Check and first aid certificate</li><li>Previous experience in learning support at the secondary school level, preferably including experience with senior students (Years 7-12).</li><li>Experience in developing and implementing curriculum and assessment in line with the NSW curriculum.</li><li>Demonstrate current knowledge of legislation and practices regarding students with learning difficulties, disabilities and learning support needs</li><li>Experience working with students with disability and additional needs </li><li>A comprehensive understanding of the DDA, DSE, NCCD, and IEP’s</li><li>Effective time management, organisation and planning skills</li><li>Work collaboratively to ensure inclusion, access and participation to maximise learning outcomes for students with disability and additional needs.</li><li>Updated knowledge of NCCD procedures and policies.</li><li>Competence in integrating technology and ICT into teaching and learning practices.</li><li> Familiarity with 21st-century educational practices and a commitment to continuous professional development.
