Our staff are genuinely a collaborative, innovative, supportive and hard-working team that possesses great humour, joy in their work and "a can do" attitude.<br><br><strong>Our Learning Journey</strong><br><br>Over the past three years, our staff have engaged in a range of professional learning opportunities at both a school and network level that has focused on extending our knowledge and understanding of the new K-6 English and Mathematics curriculum. As a result we have prioritised consistency of practice, implemented new assessment structures and utilised daily reviews to develop each student's long-term memory and to consolidate understanding. Our shared understanding of best practice is informed by research, developed through mentoring and collaborative planning structures and ongoing engagement in team-based cycles of modelling and feedback.<br><br><strong>Position Highlights</strong><br><br>The <strong>Instructional Specialist</strong> is an exemplary classroom practitioner and a member of the school's senior leadership team. The Instructional Specialist is responsible for leading school wide teaching and learning initiatives, supporting teachers to deliver a high quality reformed curriculum, transforming pedagogical practice and ensuring excellent student outcomes.</p><p>Specifically the successful applicant will be a person with:</p><ul><li>a minimum 5 years of teaching experience in a school</li><li>experience leading staff in professional learning</li><li>demonstrated success improving student outcomes</li><li>demonstrated success in implementing school wide initiatives</li><li>a valid Working With Children Check clearance (WWC) number</li><li>a genuine willingness to respect, support and uphold the mission, ethos and teachings of the Catholic Church and the values of Sydney Catholic Schools.</li></ul><p>The Instructional Specialist is a promotional role, temporary for up to 3 years, however, your classroom teaching position (1FTE) will be full-time, and permanent.
