The Towards 2025 Strategy commits our system of schools to being at least as good as the very best, to maximise the learning growth of every student, and to inspire hearts and minds to know Christ and love learning.</p><p>Covering an expansive geographical area which includes the Central Coast, Sydney’s Northern Beaches and North Shore, Catholic Schools Broken Bay is a system serving 45 Catholic Schools with around 18,000 students from Kindergarten to Year 12.</p><p><strong>About the Role</strong></p><p>As a senior member of the Financial Workstream (Team), reporting to the Senior Finance Executive, the Finance Business Partner provides expert advice, ongoing support, guidance and coaching to System Leaders to build capability in Financial Management. </p><p>Partnering with System Leaders to enhance Financial Management, this role facilitates a robust, financially viable system of Catholic Schools, critical to enable us to meet school and system objectives and resource stewardship obligations.</p><p>This is a permanent full-time opportunity based at our Central Office at Pennant Hills. The role will support a portfolio of schools on Sydney’s Northern Beaches and North Shore and will require travel to these schools. Travel to Schools on the Central Coast may also be required, however the role is predominately based in the Sydney area.</p><p><strong>Key Role Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Provides advice, guidance, and support to System Leaders to:<ul><li>build capability in Financial Management</li><li>facilitate the annual budget process, ensuring school and system strategic plans are resourced</li><li>Forecast school and system financial performance to budget</li><li>Provides advice, guidance, and support to System Leaders to facilitate medium to long term financial planning </li></ul></li><li>Monitor school income and expenditure, identifying variances, work with School Principals to implement corrective actions and provide relevant commentary for key variances.</li><li>Reporting and analysis of school performance against financial performance indicators and benchmarks.</li><li>Provide School Principals with insights and recommendations to enhance Financial Viability, and to devise and implement strategies to enhance performance and organisational outcomes.</li><li>Develop, document, and communicate operational processes to School Principals and key School staff of CSBB. </li><li>Supporting School Staff with timely, accurate and decision-ready financial and resourcing information.</li><li>Ensure month end and year end accounting close processes for schools are completed in a timely and accurate manner.</li><li>Prepare management reports as required.</li><li>Ensure CSBB meets financial accountabilities and compliance requirements of Government and regulatory bodies by ensuring system policies, procedures and guidelines are compliant and be evidenced in practice.</li><li>Support compliance and accountability activities and data collections.</li><li>Build and maintain positive, effective working relationships with School Principals, Key School Staff and CSBB colleagues.</li><li>Work collaboratively with other team members within the Financial Management Workstream, contribute where required and share knowledge within the team.</li><li>Maintain the highest level of professionalism and confidentiality about all aspects of the work.</li></ul><p><strong>About You</strong> </p><p>As the ideal candidate you will meet the following key requirements: </p><ul><li>Willingness to respect, support and uphold the mission of the Catholic Church and the values of CSBB.</li><li>Excellent interpersonal skills, with a capability to build and maintain solid relationships</li><li>Clear communicator and able to hold a concise conversation.</li><li>Ability to work collaboratively and effectively in a team and share knowledge.</li><li>Analytical, with good judgement, demonstrating logical decision making.</li><li>An ability to prioritise, plan, multi-task and manage time effectively, with an ability to work independently.</li><li>Mindset of Continual improvement, excellent attention to detail and accuracy.</li><li>Advanced Excel skills.</li><li>5&#43;
