<p><strong>Location:</strong> Magdalene Catholic College, Narellan</p><p>Magdalene Catholic College Magdalene Catholic College is a systemic co-educational high school in the Macarthur region within the Diocese Wollongong. Established to support the communities around Camden, Picton, Narellan and the Oaks, the College is now in its 26th year of operation. The College has 1160 students from Years 7-12. The College provides a learning environment which places students at the centre. The value the College places into the holistic growth of its students is fostered by high expectations, quality relationships and academic success for all. The College Motto: Quia Dominum Vidi (“Because I have seen the Lord”) is inspired by the College’s Patron Saint, Mary Magdalene, who, as the first witness to the resurrection, gave strength to the Disciples.</p><p>A permanent full time position commencing 31 January 2025.&nbsp; The successful applicant will be required to lead a professional team to support and meet the pastoral and wellbeing needs of students.</p><p>The role of Middle Leader exists to support the Principal in implementing the vision and mission of the school, to support growth in faith and improvement in learning for students and assist the school leadership team in the conduct and organisation of the school.</p><p>ESSENTIAL SELECTION CRITERIA</p><p>The preferred applicant demonstrates the following criteria:</p><ul><li>A deep understanding and commitment to the mission and purpose of the Catholic School within the broader Catholic Church.</li><li>A commitment to promoting and embedding the school’s values in pastoral programs and practices.</li><li>A strong understanding of contemporary approaches to student well-being and management.&nbsp;</li><li>A strong understanding of positive education.</li><li>The demonstrated ability to lead, mentor and work collaboratively with staff.</li><li>The demonstrated ability to support students with challenging behaviours.</li><li>The demonstrated ability to build a positive learning culture of high expectations for all with an emphasis on differentiated learning to meet the holistic needs of all students.</li><li>The ability to use data to discern the individual needs of students and be able to source appropriate support.</li></ul><p>The following GENERAL CAPABILITIES are applicable to the role:</p><ul><li>Well-developed interpersonal skills.</li><li>Well-developed oral and written communication skills.</li><li>Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.</li><li>Strong administrative and organisational skills.</li></ul><p>QUALIFICATIONS</p><ul><li>Appropriate qualifications for teaching</li><li>Appropriate additional qualifications or experience in a relevant area</li><li>Level C Accreditation aligned&nbsp;in accordance with ‘Accreditation to Work, Teach and Lead in Systemic Catholic Schools in the Diocese of Wollongong’&nbsp;policy or a commitment to gain within the first contractual period</li><li>NESA Accreditation at Proficient Teacher level or above.</li></ul><p>WORKING WITH CHILDREN CLEARANCE</p><p>This role is classified as child related work and therefore a Working With Children Check (WWCC) is required prior to your employment with CEDoW.</p><p>POSITION APPLICATION&nbsp;</p><p>Applicants are to complete an online application which asks to briefly address the essential criteria (equivalent to 2-3 pages) and submit a short CV (2-3 pages).</p><p>To submit your application please select the 'Apply Now' button at the bottom of this advertisement.</p><p><strong>Closing date: 30 October 2024 9am</strong></p>
