This position will be for a diverse learning teacher, three days per week. Please indicate your days of availability in your cover letter. Base salary ranges from $85,000 to $122,100. Salary calculated on averaged conditions. Work during school-term only. We're seeking an individual who thrives on collaboration, welcomes feedback, and is dedicated to ensuring all students reach their full potential through high-quality, collaborative and engaging pedagogy.<br><br>You will have attained:</p><ul><li>a tertiary qualification in Education</li><li>eligibility according to the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA)</li><li>Religious Education qualifications or the willingness to achieve them as per <a href="https://sydcatholicschools.nsw.edu.au/policies/accreditation-policy-to-work-teach-and-lead-in-sydney-catholic-schools"><u>Accreditation Policy to Work, Teach, and Lead</u></a>.</li></ul><p>Desirable (not essential)</p><ul><li>a tertiary qualification in Special Education.</li></ul><p><strong>The successful candidate will:</strong></p><ul><li>demonstrate initiative and the willingness to be a team player</li><li>assist with the identification of students with diverse learning needs (special educational needs), consult and collaborate with parents, colleagues, Sydney Catholic Schools personnel and external providers, and facilitate referral and assessment procedures</li><li>contribute to the preparation of documentation required under legislation in line with privacy, confidentiality, and disability obligations, for example, pre-enrolment documentation, and assist in the preparation of submissions for the Nationally Consistent Collection of Data (NCCD)</li><li>deliver intervention, teach students, and assist teachers with curriculum differentiation</li><li>collaborate with class teachers and other relevant people to assist in the design, implementation, and monitoring and review of adjustments, as documented in the Personalised Plan (PP) Tool</li><li>work collaboratively with other Learning Support personnel</li><li>work collaboratively alongside and directing the Learning Support Officers (LSOs)</li><li>contribute to the provision of staff professional development and parent education programs</li><li>support the development of inclusive learning environments</li><li>assist in the implementation of programs and processes to support students with disability</li><li>assist in building capacity of school staff in the area of Special Education</li><li>liaise with relevant schools, particularly in relation to transition periods.</li></ul><p><strong>Application Process</strong><br><br>Please click on the 'Apply' button and follow the steps to submit your application.
