<p><strong>Location:</strong> Catholic Education Office, Wollongong</p><p>The Director of Schools invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced personnel for the permanent full-time position of Workplace Safety and Wellbeing Administration Officer.</p><p>This position works under the direction of Catholic Education Diocese of Wollongong's (CEDoW) Team Leader - Workplace Safety and Wellbeing within the People and Culture (PaC) service area.&nbsp;</p><p><strong>WHY WORK FOR CATHOLIC EDUCATION IN THE DIOCESE OF WOLLONGONG</strong></p><p>We provide our team with:</p><ul><li>Flexible &amp; hybrid working opportunities (in accordance with the CEDoW Remote Working Policy)</li><li>Ex-gratia leave during the Christmas Period</li><li>Competitive salary plus superannuation</li><li>Salary packaging</li><li>Excellent professional development programs, tailored to your needs</li><li>An environment that encourages innovation and collaboration through education</li><li>A platform to contribute to the life, mission and work of the Catholic faith community<br><br>&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>ABOUT THE ROLE</strong></p><p>The Workplace Safety and Wellbeing team is a dynamic and energetic team that contributes to the broader People and Culture service area through the design and delivery of a comprehensive workplace safety and wellbeing framework.&nbsp; The role requires an understanding and commitment to support the mission of Catholic Education within the evangelising mission of the Church.</p><p>KEY FUNCTIONS</p><ul><li>Monitoring, triaging, and actioning the Work, Health, and Safety inbox</li><li>Initial point of contact via email/phone and follow up for staff notification/injury management and health and wellbeing enquiries&nbsp;</li><li>Workers Compensation claims administration and first point of contact liaison with CEDoW's worker's compensation insurer.</li><li>Preparing and submitting wage reimbursement schedules for worker's compensation claims and reconciling payments</li><li>Preparation of worker's compensation pay sheets and pay adjustments&nbsp;</li><li>Capacity to interpret legislation around basic worker's compensation and return to work requirements</li><li>Capacity to interpret Enterprise Agreements particular to Education</li></ul><p><strong>SELECTION CRITERIA</strong></p><p>The successful candidate will be someone who has:</p><ul><li>Demonstrated knowledge and experience in G Suite applications (including Gmail, Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Slides, and Google Forms).</li><li>Demonstrated capacity to utilise internal operational computer systems - Compass, SOLV, ClickUp, etc</li><li>Strong knowledge of administrative practices and document/records management.</li><li>Excellent planning and organisation skills, forward-thinking and initiative, and a highly proactive manner.</li><li>A high level of confidentiality, discretion, and sound judgement.</li><li>Confidence and professionalism in interpersonal and relationship management, and the ability to engage professionally with a range of stakeholders.</li><li>Strong attention to detail.</li><li>Excellent oral and written communication skills.</li></ul><p><strong>QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE</strong>&nbsp;</p><ul><li>Minimum Certificate IV in administration or similar.&nbsp;</li><li>At least 5 years experience working in the field of administration.</li><li>Payroll/Finance/Worker’s Compensation administration experience preferred but not essential</li></ul><p>WORKING WITH CHILDREN CLEARANCE</p><p>This role is classified as child-related work and therefore we require a working with children clearance to be completed before your commencement with us.</p><p><strong>POSITION APPLICATION</strong></p><p>Applicants are to complete an online application that asks you to provide a copy of your CV and to address the ‘Selection Criteria’ and ‘Qualifications and Experience’.
