(Note: this pay-scale is reflective of the applicants teaching experience in accordance with the RGS EBA).</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p><p>It is expected the Learning Support Teacher:</p><ul><li>Demonstrate and promote excellence in teaching and maintain a commitment to professional development;</li><li>Plan, prepare and deliver quality and effective curriculum programmes that are evidence-based, meet ACARA requirements and that embrace the School’s Learning Framework;</li><li>Create and maintain a positive classroom environment that enhances student learning;</li><li>Establish and review students’learning goals/outcomes and modify curriculumprogrammes accordingly;</li><li>Continuously reflect on teaching practices and maintain full participation in the School’s Personal Learning Programme to enhance professional knowledge;</li><li>Assess, provide feedback and report on student learning;</li><li>Demonstrate exemplary communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build strong professional relationships and engage with students, staff, parents, and the community.</li><li>Initiate contact with parents, as appropriate, concerning student’s academic progress and behaviour and keep accurate records;</li><li>Contribute to the School and wider community through involvement in co-curricular activities</li><li>Work in collaboration with Learning Enrichment Coordinator, Primary School Teachers and Learning Support Teacher Aides to provide support for students with diverse learning needs.</li><li>Implement adjustments and accommodations to the learning environment or materials in collaboration with the Primary School Teachers.</li><li>Work in collaboration with Learning Enrichment Coordinator in the development of Individual Education Plans and Individual Curriculum Plans.</li><li>Implement intervention programmes and analyse collected data to inform teaching and learning practices.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>N.B </strong>This position description contains the most important duties and tasks regarding the job to be done.
