<p>Pittwater House is seeking an inspirational and collaborative leader to join our Executive Leadership team as the Director of Teaching and Learning, commencing in Term 1, 2025. This full-time, permanent position will oversee educational outcomes across our P-12 school, with a focus on pedagogical leadership, professional learning, and performance development. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring quality teaching and learning practices, staff accreditation, teacher induction, and maximising student academic outcomes.</p><p>Working closely with the Senior School Director of Studies and the Junior School Curriculum Coordinator, the Director of Teaching and Learning will foster a productive and positive learning environment, supporting teachers across the campus to enhance educational excellence.</p><p>Key Responsibilities:</p><ul><li>Lead and oversee the school&#39;s pedagogical practices and professional development initiatives.</li><li>Collaborate with staff to drive performance development and ensure adherence to accreditation standards.</li><li>Develop and implement strategies to maximise student learning outcomes.</li><li>Work alongside key leadership figures, including the Director of Studies, Junior School Curriculum Coordinator and Heads of Faculty, on all teaching and learning matters.</li></ul><p>Key Attributes:</p><ul><li>Postgraduate qualifications in leadership or pedagogy (or working towards such qualifications).</li><li>Current NESA teacher registration and a valid Working with Children number.</li><li>Deep familiarity with NESA and ISTAA Teaching Standards.</li><li>Exceptional oral and written communication skills.</li><li>Professional presentation and strong interpersonal skills for liaising with a variety of stakeholders.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to inspire trust and leadership among staff.</li><li>Innovative in teaching practices, with a proactive, problem-solving approach.</li><li>Strong knowledge of compliance and educational legislation, with a strategic mindset.</li><li>High-level administrative skills and organisational abilities.</li></ul><p>This role requires flexible working hours, including availability outside normal school hours and during non-term periods.
