Full time Specialist STEM teacher. Working with each grade (P-6) for approximately 1 hour per week in a dedicated STEM Learning Space with 5 hours professional practice time per week.

Working with each grade (P-6) for approximately 1 hour per week in a dedicated STEM Learning Space.</p><p><strong>In supporting you within a team setting, we provide the following:</strong></p><ul><li>A specialist team leader to help you</li><li>One staff meeting per week</li><li>5 hours professional practice time per week</li><li>A relentless focus on the wellbeing of each child</li><li>A welcoming and inclusive culture and as a result, families value and trust the school and its staff.</li><li>Dedicated staff demonstrating high levels of teamwork and a commitment to professional growth.</li><li>A distributed leadership model, leadership development program &amp; graduate mentor program which forms the basis for building staff capacity at all levels</li><li>Clear communication and processes that support transparency and facilitate the learning environment.</li></ul><p><strong>Applicants should be able to:(Requirements)</strong></p><ul><li>Deliver high quality instruction in STEM, utilising innovative teaching methods and hands-on activities to foster learner engagement and understanding.</li><li>Develop and design engaging STEM learning opportunities in an authentic context.</li><li>Be familiar with or interested in the knowledge rich approach when developing a STEM curriculum.</li><li>Work collaboratively with the inquiry leader to prepare learning experiences that support the learning in the classrooms</li><li>Align STEM learning opportunities against the Victorian Curriculum standards, particularly the areas of Science, Technologies and Maths</li><li>Incorporate technology tools and resources into STEM lessons to enhance learning experiences and develop student’s digital literacy skills</li><li>Promote cybersafety initiatives at the school</li><li>Differentiate the learning experiences to enable all students to experience success in their learning.</li><li>Use purposeful assessment that provides data to drive and plan further teaching</li><li>Willingness to facilitate student’s participation in the MACS STEM MAD exhibition</li><li>Work in partnership with the wider school community to promote further learning opportunities and engagement.</li></ul><p>Applicants are encouraged to visit our website: <strong>www.rskingspark.catholic.edu.au</strong> to gain further insight into our school.
