<p><strong>O&#39;Loughlin Catholic College, Karama</strong></p><p><strong>Fixed 1 year contract (Maternity Leave replacement) | Commencing November 2024</strong></p><p><strong>Position Summary:</strong></p><p>The Business Manager supports the Principal in the delivery of strong financial sustainability and accountability. This includes preparing or reviewing financial reports, preparations for internal and external audit and management of all day-to-day finance and operational activities. The Business Manager supports the Principal in seeking opportunities for grant funding. The position is located at O’Loughlin Catholic College. This position is a Fixed Term Full time position, across 5 business days, from 8.00am to 4.00pm.</p><p><strong>Key responsibilities:</strong></p><ol><li>Deliver timely and accurate expert advice and leadership in financial accountability. </li><li>Preparation and monitoring of realistic budgets, including cost centre reporting regularly against actual results achieved. </li><li>Providing timely periodic financial reports with insightful analysis into results. Highlighting any emerging risks that need to be addressed.</li><li>Maintaining effective relationships with school-based employees, suppliers and Catholic Education Office based employees.<strong> </strong></li><li>Identifying and contributing to the continuous improvement of policies, procedures and practices.</li><li>Management and monitoring the emerging cash needs of the school.</li><li>Ensuring all day-to day finance activities are performed such as Accounts payable, Accounts receivable, Payroll, Banking, Asset management, Taxes and all other operational finance functions as required</li><li>Performing monthly end-of-period closing procedures, including the major contribution to the preparation for the end-of-year audit.</li><li>Management of the annual audit processes including preparing for audit and ensuring the school is ready for audit. </li><li>Ensuring compliance with all statutory and legal reporting requirements, such as BAS, Super, PAYG, FBT etc. </li><li>Management and development of the Administration/ Finance team within the school.</li><li>Assist and/or prepare reports and statistics to ABS and other external body reporting requirements.</li><li>Operational management of insurance policies (data collection/provision, insurance claims and other day-to-day operational matters) and other school related matters, such as student census and other reporting requirements. </li><li>Preparation of grant applications. </li><li>Other duties as directed by the Principal.</li></ol><p><strong>Download the attached position description</strong></p><p><strong>Please send a current resume and the names and contacts of three referees to the Office Manager</strong> <a href="mailto:secretary.oloughlin&#64;nt.catholic.edu.au" rel="nofollow">secretary.oloughlin&#64;nt.catholic.edu.au</a></p>
