We are seeking a passionate and experienced professional to be a member of the Governance, Legal & Risk Workstream as a Community Engagement Officer on a permanent full-time basis.

<p>We are seeking a passionate and experienced professional to be a member of the Governance, Legal &amp; Risk Workstream as a <strong>Community Engagement Officer </strong>on a <strong>permanent full-time basis.</strong></p><p>The role supports the Community Engagement function to implement parent/carer engagement structures in schools, to strengthen school communities, enhance parent voice and retain enrolments. </p><p>A core focus of this role is to effectively manage and address complaints and feedback, while supporting individuals and school communities in relation to education partnership priorities.<br /><br /><strong>Why join us at Catholic Schools Broken Bay?</strong><br /><br />We value our teachers and school leaders so they can best support every student entrusted to our care to learn and flourish. This is why we are delighted to have recently launched our comprehensive three-tiered staff wellbeing program.</li></ul><p> </p><p><strong>Specific Criteria</strong></p><p>The Community Engagement Officer will contribute to strengthening community engagement and parent/carer experience of community in their school.</p><p>In particular, the successful candidate will be able to effectively demonstrate the following:</p><ul><li>Demonstrated experience in community engagement and proactive consultation<br /> </li><li>Demonstrated ability to engage and influence people<br /> </li><li>Ability to deal with customer complaints, including speaking to people who are upset, coordinating data collection, writing briefing notes and reports<br /> </li><li>Has a keen eye for detail to deliver consistently accurate and informed written and verbal communications suitable for the receiving audience<br /> </li><li>Demonstrated skill in liaising with parent and educational groups<br /> </li><li>Has a high degree of organisational skill<br /> </li><li>Has excellent interpersonal and communication skills<br /> </li><li>Experience in presenting adult training/education an advantage<br /> </li><li>Is energised by working in a fast-paced environment <br /> </li><li>Is adaptive and responsive to change and can adapt to working under pressure and re-prioritising tasks<br /> </li><li>Can manage competing priorities to deliver high-quality work</li></ul><p>The ideal candidate will have excellent people skills and able to effectively communicate and connect with our school communities – particularly parents.
