<p><strong>Location:</strong> Goulburn, NSW&nbsp;<br><strong>Employment Type:</strong>&nbsp;Permanent&nbsp;&nbsp;<br><strong>Employment Status:</strong> Part-time&nbsp;&nbsp;<br><strong>Salary Range: </strong>$76,754 to $126,236&nbsp;full-time equivalent plus superannuation. The role involves applying the CECG approved Religious Education Curricula to create engaging learning strategies and resources that: develop knowledge, deep understanding and skills;&nbsp;support spiritual and moral growth; fosters respect for diverse perspectives; and encourages personal faith and spiritual development.</p><p><strong>Benefits and Opportunities&nbsp;</strong></p><ul><li>A positive and collaborative workplace culture&nbsp;</li><li>Extensive training in our high-quality professional learning program, Catalyst&nbsp;</li><li>Access to curriculum resources that support evidence-based, high-impact teaching practice&nbsp;</li><li>24 weeks of paid parental leave (maternity/adoption)&nbsp;</li><li>Up to 14 weeks of paid parental leave (paternity/non-initial primary carer leave)&nbsp;</li><li>Support for professional development and study opportunities&nbsp;</li><li>Opportunities to transfer to other schools within the Archdiocese across ACT and NSW to support lifestyle choice&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Develop teaching and learning programs based on the approved CECG Religious Education curricula.</li><li>Demonstrate an understanding of Moran's Model for Religious Education: Teaching people about Religion and Teaching people how to be Religious in a particular way.</li><li>Use a variety of evidence-based, high impact teaching practices.</li><li>Create a learning environment that stimulates learning and excellence for all.</li><li>Plan, prepare, record and evaluate work to be undertaken by classes.</li><li>Participate in the regular review and evaluation of Religious Education teaching programs, learning engagements and assessment tasks.</li><li>Collaboratively work with specialist staff to support diverse learning needs for all students.</li><li>Develop formative and summative assessment and explain these to students in advance.</li><li>Provide timely and constructive feedback to promote student learning and achievement.</li><li>Fulfil all requirements relating to assessment, including accurate records of student progress and assessment documentation.</li><li>Communicate with parents in written reports and through parent teacher interviews, and at other times as required.</li><li>Communicate with and establish effective and cooperative working relationships with staff.</li><li>Be proficient in the use of IT as a teaching and administrative tool.</li><li>Undertake playground, class and supervision duties according to rosters and as required.</li><li>Attend professional learning and remain informed of current developments in the knowledge, understanding and skills required in Religious Education.</li><li>Maintain Accreditation hours in line with the Accreditation to work, teach and lead policy.</li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications&nbsp;&nbsp;</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor of Teaching or Master of Teaching.</li><li>Teacher Quality Institute (TQI) registration and/or NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) accreditation.</li><li>Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) and/or Working with Children’s Check (WWCC) registrations.</li><li>Accreditation D or willingness to complete in accordance with the Accreditation to Work, Reach and Lead in Catholic Education Canberra and Goulburn Policy.</li></ul><p><strong>Selection Criteria&nbsp;</strong>&nbsp;</p><ol><li>Be Catholic, with accreditation to teach Religious Education in keeping with the CECG Accreditation to work, teach and lead Policy.</li><li>A thorough knowledge of the approved CECG Religious Education curricula, with the ability to organise, select and design content for effective teaching and learning.</li><li>Highly effective communication and interpersonal skills to engage positively with colleagues, students, and parents.</li><li>The capacity to be a proactive member of a professional learning community complying with the legal, administrative, and professional requirements.</li><li>Classroom practices and organisational skills that create supportive and safe environments for all students, including meeting a variety of learning needs.</li><li>A comprehensive understanding of assessment and reporting strategies and the need to provide effective and timely feedback to parents and students.</li></ol><p><i>Please refer to the position description for in-depth details regarding the position duties, criteria, and skill set required.&nbsp;</i></p><p><strong>Other Eligibility Criteria&nbsp;</strong></p><ul><li>You must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident to be eligible to apply for this position.&nbsp;</li><li>Appointment is subject to satisfactory employment screening for child-related employment in accordance with CECG policy.&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>Application Process&nbsp;</strong></p><p>Applicants are required to submit a cover letter and current resume including a statement of suitability against the skills, attributes, and experience as outlined in the Position Description.&nbsp;</p><p>This position involves working with children.
