The School, one of three primary schools in St Michael’s Parish, boasts vibrant, modern classrooms that are well-appointed and resourced.</p><p><strong>About the role</strong></p><ul><li><strong>Classification:</strong> Position of Leadership Level 2 </li><li><strong>Tenure: </strong>2 years</li><li><strong>Start Date:</strong> 28 January 2025</li></ul><p>St Michael’s Primary School, Berwick seeks a faith-filled, inspirational and dynamic leader to work in partnership with our staff, students, and parent community. </p><p>The position of Learning Diversity Leader oversees the early identification and provision of assistance and support to students with additional learning needs at St Michael’s Primary School. </p><p>The Learning Diversity Leader will build capacity within teachers for improved student learning outcomes through expert teacher practice, with a particular focus on the use of appropriate learning adjustments.</p><p>The role of the MHiPS is to build the capability of the whole school concerning mental health and wellbeing (identification, promotion and prevention), provide support to staff to better identify and support students with mental health needs, establish clear pathways for referral for students requiring assessment and intervention, and monitor and evaluate student progress. </p><p>The role is specifically established as a coordination function to support educators in the classroom and to provide a crucial link to resources external to the school.</p><p>Both roles will involve working closely with the Principal, Deputy Principal/Learning and Teaching and the Leadership Team for the strategic deployment of resources, which reflect the following key priorities:</p><ul><li>Improved learning outcomes for all students</li><li>Strengthening and development of expert teacher practice, leadership formation and capacity building</li></ul><p>We are seeking a suitably qualified applicant with a record of leadership.
