House Director - Teaching and Learning position will include a teaching component and is to be read in conjunction with the Teacher Position Information Document. The successful candidate will be required to work full-time.

<p>Xavier College now invites applications from experienced leaders to join our secondary 7-12 Gawler Belt Campus in the role of House Director - Teaching and Learning (POR3).  Working under the direction of the Assistant Head of Campus – Teaching and Learning, this pivotal role is responsible for driving curriculum development and pedagogical excellence ensuring that students are engaged, challenged and supported in their learning.  </p><p>This position is classified as a POR3 ($16,711 per annum allowance) and forms part of the House Director structure at the Gawler Belt Campus. The position includes a teaching component and is to be read in conjunction with the Teacher Position Information Document. The successful candidate will be required to work full-time. </p><p>The ideal candidate will be a forward-thinking educator with a commitment to fostering a dynamic and inclusive learning environment, working collaboratively with staff, students and the College Leadership Team to achieve academic excellence. </p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong> </p><ul><li>Lead curriculum and pedagogical change in the College </li><li>Collaborate with staff to implement ICT strategies that transform and enhance student learning </li><li>Communicate with parents regarding student learning </li><li>Establish case-management processes to monitor student learning </li><li>Line manage teaching staff in POR Positions as designated by the College Leadership Team </li><li>Coordinate the annual College curriculum documentation process to ensure that the college meets its national, state and systematic obligations in terms of implementation and delivery of the approved curriculum </li><li>Monitor developments in curriculum and initiating professional teaching and learning discussions with regard to those developments  </li></ul><p>For more information please visit here: https://www.xavier.catholic.edu.au/community/careers/</p><p><strong>About you:</strong> </p><p>This role requires someone with genuine enthusiasm and commitment to improvements in teaching and learning to help students thrive. We are interested in hearing from candidates who are detail-oriented, exceptionally organised and who thrive in a busy, fast-paced environment. </p><p><strong>What you need to be successful:</strong> </p><ul><li>South Australian Teacher Registration </li><li>Teacher accreditation in Catholic Education SA (working towards or a commitment to work towards) </li><li>Excellent and demonstrated IT skills </li></ul><p><strong>Desirable skills: </strong> </p><ul><li>Proven previous experience in a leadership role </li><li>Tertiary qualification in educational leadership </li></ul>
