We are seeking a full time permanent Primary Teacher, to take on the role of Infants Coordinator (Kindergarten and Year 1). This Coordinator role will commence from Term 1, 2025 for a three-year maximum term contract.

Learn more at www.montgrove.nsw.edu.au</p><p>We are seeking a full time permanent Primary Teacher, to take on the role of <strong>Infants Coordinator (Kindergarten and Year 1)</strong>. This Coordinator role will commence from Term 1, 2025 for a three-year maximum term contract. Under the leadership of the Head of Primary, the Infants Coordinator will oversee teaching, learning, and wellbeing for students and will be responsible for building a positive and cohesive staff team.</p><p>In addition to classroom teacher responsibilities, the Infants Coordinator responsibilities will include:</p><p><u>Support Executive Staff:</u></p><ul><li>Supporting in the implementation of the school’s vision, policies and procedures </li><li>Working collaboratively with other staff in the planning and implementation of curriculum, pastoral care and co-curricular experiences</li><li>Working in collaboration with learning support and school counsellors to meet the needs of students and staff</li></ul><p><u>Junior School curriculum:</u></p><ul><li>Review and update Junior School policy and syllabus documents to reflect current practice.</li><li>Review and interpret new syllabus requirements and present to staff to familiarise them with these documents.</li><li>Guide and lead development of Junior School Scope and Sequences for each KLA, in collaboration with the Head of Primary and Director of Teaching &amp; Learning</li><li>Review and update Scope and Sequences to ensure no repetition or gaps in learning.</li><li>Ensure compliance of Junior School documents with NESA requirements.</li></ul><p><u>Staff and Student Wellbeing:</u></p><ul><li>Offering and maintaining an inclusive, supportive and safe teaching and learning environment</li><li>Overseeing performance of staff within the classroom.</li><li>Completing lesson observations, appraisals, goal setting and coaching with Infants staff.</li><li>Responding to staff/student/parent complaints in a timely manner</li><li>Actively managing discipline and supporting Infants staff in discipline matters</li><li>Organsing Infants Assemblies and other Infants events</li><li>Supporting the Head of Primary to run and implement an appropriate induction program for new teachers at the start of the calendar year and ongoing as they enter the profession and/or school, helping them to develop programs, observing some of their lessons and monitoring their progress. </li></ul><p><u>Additional requirements include:</u></p><ul><li>Specific sessions for teachers that may take place after School throughout the Term.</li><li>Staff Development days prior to the start of each term and any other designated staff development days.</li><li>Any training indicated by the School </li><li>Key Parent Functions and any other major School functions throughout the year.</li><li>Other duties and responsibilities as required by the Principal and Deputy Principal.</li></ul><p>You must be accredited with NESA and hold a current valid Working with Children Check.</p>
