We are open to flexible working arrangements to support a healthy work-life balance. </p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong> As a vital member of our Senior Leadership Team, you will report directly to the Principal with a close working relationship with the Board and be responsible for: </p><ul><li><strong>Operational Leadership:</strong> Focus on guiding the school’s operations to enhance efficiency and effectiveness, while collaborating closely with our experienced finance team to ensure financial integrity and sustainability. </li><li><strong>Team Leadership:</strong> Inspire and guide the administration team, fostering a culture of collaboration and empowerment across the school. </li><li><strong>Strategic Business Management:</strong> Lead the development and implementation of effective business strategies that align with our school&#39;s vision, mission and strategic plan. </li><li><strong>Operational Effectiveness:</strong> Implement systems for continuous improvement in business processes, risk management, and compliance. </li><li><strong>Asset Management:</strong> Lead the development of a Master Plan and oversee maintenance of the school&#39;s buildings, grounds, and facilities, in accordance with our Master Plan. </li><li><strong>Human Resource Management:</strong> Support the development of our teams, enhancing their ability to manage financial and physical resources effectively. </li><li><strong>Safety &amp; Well-being:</strong> Uphold the highest standards of safety and well-being within our school community. </li></ul><p><strong>Key Capabilities:</strong> </p><ul><li>Proven experience in business or operations management, preferably within an educational setting. </li><li>Excellent communication and engagement skills and experience in reports and proposals for a Board. </li><li>Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams. </li><li>Strong collaborative skills and a flexible mindset. </li><li>Strategic foresight and a track record of successful project management. </li><li>Excellent organisational skills with a focus on operational effectiveness. </li><li>Familiarity with compliance standards and risk management systems. </li><li>Commitment to the principles of Waldorf Education and the School’s values. </li></ul><p><strong>Why Join Us?</strong> At Mount Barker Waldorf School, we are committed to nurturing a supportive and innovative learning environment inspired by Rudolf Steiner’s educational vision.
