Montgrove College is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed Secondary Music Teacher to commence in a temporary part-time (approx 0.6) role commencing Term 1, 2025. This role is a maternity leave cover for the 2025 school year.

Learn more at www.montgrove.nsw.edu.au </p><p>Montgrove College is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed <strong>Secondary Music Teacher</strong> to commence in a temporary part-time (approx 0.6) role <strong>commencing Term 1, 2025</strong>.  This role is a maternity leave cover for the 2025 school year. </p><p>The successful applicant will work as part of dedicated and collaborative team and will need to confidently demonstrate the following key skills and experience:</p><ul><li>Qualifications and experience teaching music to stages 4-6. </li><li>A high level of expertise in own instrument/voice specialisation. </li><li>A strong knowledge and understanding of the Music syllabus. </li><li>An ability to meaningfully engage children in rich and diverse activities which build musical knowledge, ability and creativity. Proficient at using notation software</li><li>Demonstrated ability to engage students in their learning and to integrate technology into the classroom. </li><li>Capacity to differentiate the curriculum to meet the needs of a diverse range of students. </li><li>An understanding of student management strategies which would support the school’s focus on positive behaviour management. </li><li>A meaningful enthusiasm for working in a dynamic and collaborative learning environment. </li><li>A commitment to ongoing evaluation and improvement. </li><li>Demonstrated ability to lead music ensembles to produce high quality performances. </li><li>Organisational and communication skills and the ability to engage positively with all stakeholders including parents, students and staff. </li><li>Understanding of, and support for the vision, mission, values and ethos of the School. </li></ul><p>The successful applicant will be required to obtain and maintain a current NSW Working with Children Check and appropriate NESA accreditation.</p><p> </p>
