St Joseph's Primary School is seeking an enthusiastic and suitably qualified teacher for a full-time Junior Classroom Teaching position commencing in 2025, for a 12-month contract. <p>St Joseph’s Primary School is a small Catholic school located in the rural township of Orbost, approximately 90 kilometres east of Bairnsdale in East Gippsland. With two classes (F-2) and (3-6) working in a flexible learning environment, the school offers a broad range of quality learning experiences. It prides itself on being a welcoming <strong>&#34;The Small School with a Big Heart&#34;</strong>, inclusive community where everyone is valued and respected.</p><p><strong>Teaching and Learning Philosophy</strong></p><p>At St Joseph&#39;s a Science of Reading approach is engaged to explicitly teach the skills for reading. Evidence based approaches are used across all curriculum areas, with our students experiencing systematic sequential learning to support their academic growth. Our teaching staff work collaboratively each week to assess, plan and enact learning opportunities. Regular opportunities to reflect on their impact are inbuilt. The school community has experienced staff ready to support a new team member to embed them in the &#39;St Joey&#39;s Way&#39;.</p><p><strong>Catholic Identity</strong></p><p>The successful applicant will need to demonstrate a commitment to Catholic education. All teachers are welcome to apply (experienced teachers and graduates, Catholic and non-Catholic) and will be supported to understand and enact the Catholic ethos. Staff are supported to gain accreditation to Religious Education teach in a Catholic School within the first four years (paid release and training fees covered). </p><p><strong>Child Safety</strong></p><p>St Joseph&#39;s Primary School is dedicated to providing a safe and welcoming environment of all students.
