<p>St Pius X College, Chatswood is seeking to appoint a significantly experienced, highly qualified person to the role of Assistant Principal – Teaching and Learning to commence in 2025. The Assistant Principal – Teaching and Learning supports student learning; reflecting best practice pedagogy to deliver our contemporary learning vision.  This role requires a creative and collaborate response to the challenges of a contemporary learning and teaching environment. Outstanding leadership skills and the ability to build relationships and engage others in the journey are critical skills for success in this role.  The successful applicant will be highly qualified and enjoy leading in a dynamic and cohesive teaching, learning and curriculum team (Curriculum Administration Coordinator and Leaders of Learning).</p><p>The successful applicant will:</p><ul><li>Demonstrate experience in leading and supporting staff formation;</li><li>Demonstrate a clear understanding and commitment to the Mission of the Catholic School;</li><li>Demonstrate a record of leading processes to improve student performance in Catholic schools;</li><li>Demonstrate experience in leading contemporary learning theory and practice with the school;’</li><li>Demonstrate evidence of effective leadership and development of an innovative curriculum to meet the diverse needs of all learners;</li><li>Have attained a relevant Masters qualification or commitment to complete same within five years of appointment; </li><li>Have commitment to team and building relationships working in collaboration with the Principal and the College Leadership Team to support the College’s vision and mission and building a learning community focused on high expectations and standards of excellence;</li><li>Be supportive of the Edmund Rice ethos of the College;</li><li>Have a high level and current understanding of Curriculum and NESA requirements;</li><li>Have a high degree of practical experience with databases and timetable programs and lead such teams;</li><li>Have an ability to relate to boys and a practical knowledge of boys’ education issues and initiatives;</li><li>Effectively integrate technology in the delivery of the College’s teaching and learning programs;</li></ul><p>Visit the College website <a href="http://spx.nsw.edu.au" rel="nofollow">http://spx.nsw.edu.au</a> for more information and details on how to apply.</p><p> </p><p> </p>
