Learning Support Officers, work to support the delivery of quality educational programs under teacher and leadership direction. Their work is conducted in a manner which is consistent with the policies and procedures of the school and MACS. They fulfil a vital role in supporting the educational program of the St Brigid's and make a positive contribution to our community.

<p>Key Role</p><ul><li>work closely with the classroom teacher in implementing Personalised Learning Plans (PLPs) for students</li><li>to support the classroom teacher in daily administrative tasks e.g. preparing learning and teaching materials and resources</li><li>to support the children in the classroom to successfully complete learning activities during the day</li><li>to provide basic physical, social and emotional care for students.</li></ul><p>Commitment to Catholic Education</p><ul><li>a demonstrated understanding of the ethos of a Catholic school and its mission.</li></ul><p>Pastoral Care and Child Safety</p><ul><li>be familiar with and comply with the school&#39;s child-safe policy and code of conduct, and any other policies or procedures relating to child safety</li><li>assist in the provision of a child-safe environment for students</li><li>demonstrate duty of care to students in relation to their physical and mental wellbeing</li><li>be aware of and comply with the Work Health &amp; Safety policies and practices of the school.</li></ul><p>The position is due to commence during Term 4, 2024, continuing throughout the 2025 school year and requires a 5 day per week commitment from 8.30am - 3.05pm with an annual salary of approximately $45,000 in accordance with CEMEA 2022. All applicants must hold a current working with children check for employment purposes.</p>
