<p><strong>Location:</strong> West Wyalong, NSW <br><strong>Employment Type:</strong> Permanent <br><strong>Employment Status:</strong> Full-time <br><strong>Salary Range:</strong> $76,754 to $126,236 full-time equivalent plus superannuation plus $18,983 NSW Coordinator 2 Allowance. Explore the heritage, follow walking and cycling trails, discover local art legends, take part in a range of events throughout the year and enjoy all the benefits of country hospitality.</p><p>Join the team at St Mary's War Memorial and take advantage of a unique balance of personal and professional interests including:</p><ul><li>Excellent sporting facilities, aquatic centre and gym</li><li>Organised sporting activities for all ages, including Basketball, Australian Rules, Rugby League, Rugby Union or Netball</li><li>Outstanding medical facilities</li><li>Surrounding towns and villages such as Temora and Barmedman with access to public transport daily</li><li>Close proximity to Wagga Wagga and Canberra for a day trip or weekend getaway </li></ul><p>St Mary's War Memorial School is part of the Catholic Education, Archdiocese of Canberra and Goulburn (CECG), operating 56 Catholic Systemic Schools and nine Early Learning Centres across ACT and NSW. </p><p><strong>About the Role </strong></p><p>Along with the Principal and the Leadership Team the Religious Education Coordinator shares responsibility for:</p><ul><li>Educational and spiritual leadership</li><li>The development of a Christ-centred faith community</li><li>Ensuring Catholic perspectives are embedded across all subject areas.</li></ul><p>The position of Religious Education Coordinator sits on the school’s leadership team and requires the occupant to be a practising Catholic, committed to faith and the spiritual well-being and growth of all.</p><p><strong>Employee benefits and opportunities include:</strong></p><ul><li>An attractive remuneration package</li><li>Up to $3000 reimbursement for relocation expenses </li><li>A positive and collaborative workplace culture </li><li>Extensive training in our high-quality professional learning program, Catalyst </li><li>Access to curriculum resources that support evidence-based, high-impact teaching practice </li><li>24 weeks of paid parental leave (maternity/adoption) </li><li>Up to 14 weeks of paid parental leave (paternity/non-initial primary carer leave) </li><li>Support for professional development and study opportunities </li><li>Opportunities to transfer to other schools within the Archdiocese across ACT and NSW to support lifestyle choice </li></ul><p><strong>Key responsibilities include:</strong></p><ul><li>Build capacity and support colleagues to know and understand the approved Religious Education Curriculum and Moran’s Model of Religious Education: Teaching people about religion and teaching people to be religious in a particular way.</li><li>Exhibit exemplary practice and lead colleagues to implement contemporary pedagogy that improves student learning by embedding High Impact Teaching Practices in Religion.</li><li>Provide pedagogical leadership, supporting teachers in developing, implementing, and evaluating classroom religion teaching and learning programs.</li><li>Create a culture of ongoing improvement, formation, and professional learning.</li><li>Embed collaborative practices in the school, implementing professional dialogue that is informed by feedback and analysis of current research and practice to improve the educational outcomes of students.</li><li>Develop, facilitate, and promote Religious Education Professional Learning opportunities to enhance the quality of teaching and learning, improve student outcomes in Religion, and build the capacity of teachers.</li><li>Collaboratively develop, facilitate, and promote Christ-centred faith formation, prayer, and liturgical experiences and opportunities for staff, students, and parents.</li><li>Lead the school community in faith and build a culture of faith and learning that is Christ-centred.</li><li>Manage the Religious Education budget and resources.</li><li>Collaboratively develop, facilitate, and promote the school’s Catholic social justice and Catholic charitable works initiatives.</li><li>Liaise with the Parish to promote strong connections with the Parish community.</li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications </strong></p><ul><li>Must be a qualified Teacher with a minimum of five years’ experience.</li><li>Must have completed, be due to complete or a willingness to complete Accreditation D and E, according to the Accreditation to work, teach and lead in a Catholic School Policy.</li></ul><p><strong>Essential Criteria</strong></p><ul><li>Be a practising Catholic</li><li>Provide a reference from a current Parish Priest</li><li>For position in the ACT - TQI registration & Working with Vulnerable People Card</li><li>For position in NSW - NESA registration & NSW Working with Children Check.</li></ul><p><strong>Selection Criteria </strong></p><ol><li>Demonstrated leadership experience including to build the capacity of staff in the Religious Education curriculum, implement contemporary pedagogy that focuses on improving student outcomes in Religious Education, and implementing High Impact Teaching Practices.</li><li>Demonstrated experience in evaluating, analysing, and using data to inform learning and engage in future strategic planning in Religious Education.</li><li>Effective communication to build relationships with a range of stakeholders.</li><li>Demonstrated experience in working closely with priests and the parish community to foster strong relationships with all parish agencies.</li></ol><p><i>Please refer to the position description for in-depth details regarding the position duties, criteria, and skill set required. </i></p><p><strong>Other Eligibility Criteria </strong></p><ul><li>You must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident to be eligible to apply for this position. </li><li>Appointment is subject to satisfactory employment screening for child-related employment in accordance with CECG policy. </li></ul><p>Application Process </p><p>Applicants are required to submit a cover letter and current resume including a statement of suitability against the skills, attributes, and experience as outlined in the Position Description. </p><p>This position involves working with children.
