Years 7 to 9 are based on the Padua Campus (Wanniassa) and Years 10 to 12 are based on the St Peter’s Campus (Isabella Plains). They work in collaboration with the Assistant Principal Pastoral Care and Director of Student Wellbeing, and in partnership with other middle leaders in the College, to oversee the holistic development of students in their care with the aim of improving each students academic growth.</p><p>The Pastoral Care Coordinator leads a team of Pastoral Care Teachers in the development, implementation and evaluation of an innovative Pastoral Program covering content not in the academic curriculum.</p><p>Pastoral Care Coordinators are responsible for the proactive management of behavioural development and maintaining an inclusive environment to enhance the overall wellbeing of students. This is done through the management of relationships with key stakeholders in the College community.</p><p><strong>Benefits and Opportunities&nbsp;</strong></p><ul><li>A positive and collaborative workplace culture&nbsp;</li><li>Extensive training in our high-quality professional learning program, Catalyst&nbsp;</li><li>Access to curriculum resources that support evidence-based, high-impact teaching practice&nbsp;</li><li>24 weeks of paid parental leave (maternity/adoption)&nbsp;</li><li>Up to 14 weeks of paid parental leave (paternity/non-initial primary carer leave)&nbsp;</li><li>Support for professional development and study opportunities&nbsp;</li><li>Opportunities to transfer to other schools within the Archdiocese across ACT and NSW to support lifestyle choice&nbsp;&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Support the Principal and College Executive in their leadership and management of the College.</li><li>Lead the development, implementation and evaluation of an innovative and relevant Pastoral Program to meet the needs of the cohort.</li><li>Ensure effective administrative processes, including holding productive meetings, and maintaining accurate records relating to communication with parents and students, and other matters.</li><li>Coordinate or co-plan camps, Retreats and Pastoral days as appropriate to the Year group.</li><li>The proactive management of behavioural development and maintaining an inclusive environment to enhance the overall wellbeing of students.</li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications&nbsp;&nbsp;</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor of Teaching or Master of Teaching.</li><li>Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) and/or Working with Children’s Check (WWCC) registrations.</li><li>Teaching Quality Institute (TQI) registration and/or NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) accreditation.</li></ul><p><strong>Selection Criteria&nbsp;</strong></p><ol><li>A comprehensive understanding of Catalyst initiatives and High Impact Teaching Practices and the need to provide appropriate support and feedback to teaching staff.</li><li>Be an outstanding teacher of experience and initiative who can work effectively with the Pastoral Care team, colleagues, students and families.</li><li>As a leader of experience and initiative, work effectively with the Principal, Executive and Middle management teams to develop a vision for Pastoral Care in the College.</li><li>Support the Principal and Executive to build community with staff, students and their families.</li><li>Demonstrated capability to coordinate a team of Pastoral Care Teachers effectively, to supervise staff, to work with the staff to effect change.</li><li>Demonstrated excellence in verbal and written communication skills. &nbsp;This includes high-level mediation and conflict resolution skills and interpersonal skills with the ability to build community.</li><li>The ability to exercise sound judgment, including dealing with confidential matters.</li></ol><p><i>Please refer to the position description for in-depth details regarding the position duties, criteria, and skill set required.&nbsp;</i></p><p><strong>Other Eligibility Criteria&nbsp;</strong></p><ul><li>You must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident to be eligible to apply for this position.&nbsp;</li><li>Appointment is subject to satisfactory employment screening for child-related employment in accordance with CECG policy.&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>Application Process&nbsp;</strong></p><p>Applicants are required to submit a cover letter and current resume including a statement of suitability against the skills, attributes, and experience as outlined in the Position Description.&nbsp;</p><p>This position involves working with children.
