<p><strong>The Opportunity</strong></p><p>We are seeking compassionate, collaborative and dedicated Teacher Assistants, who are strongly committed to the ethos and practices of Catholic Education and possess a genuine desire to support the holistic development of young people to join our Inclusive Learning team. We have multiple permanent part time positions available, commencing in Term 1, 2025, working up to 5 days a week (58 hours per fortnight). </p><p>As a Teacher Assistant you will work closely with students with additional needs, providing the support and guidance they require to succeed in an inclusive learning environment. This role involves assisting teachers in supporting participation and learning for students across the full range of physical and intellectual abilities and from diverse linguistic, cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds. You will provide support to teachers in the delivery of outlined educational programs and activities and interventions for students to help create a supportive atmosphere that fosters academic, social, and emotional growth.</p><p>Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience and in accordance with the Tasmanian Catholic Education Single Enterprise Agreement 2018. </p><p><strong>About You</strong></p><p>As a Teacher Assistant you will:</p><ul><li>Have the ability to effectively support teachers in delivering student-focused learning outcomes.</li><li>Have strengths in fostering innovation, creativity, and a passion for learning within students.</li><li>Strong literacy and numeracy skills to support students with their learning. </li><li>A commitment to encourage excellence in academics, co-curricular, personal development and an educational journey that empowers personal student successes.</li><li>Have the ability to relate to students with varying needs, in particular providing assistance to those students who require meal management and toileting care.</li><li>High standards of professionalism, personal integrity, discretion, and resilience.</li><li>Ability to effectively interact and maintain professional relationships with students, parents, colleagues, and the broader College community.</li><li>Perform effectively in environments with competing demands</li></ul><p>CET supports the rights of children and young people and is committed to providing a safe and supportive environment directed at ensuring their safety and wellbeing. The successful candidate will require satisfactory registrations relevant to child safety. </p><p><strong>About Us</strong></p><p>St Patrick’s is a Catholic co-educational Year 7-12 college of approximately 1,500 students with a strong academic culture that encourages individual students to develop to their full potential through a broad educational experience.
