We are currently seeking an experienced, innovative and enthusiastic Curriculum Leader to lead our English and History team from Term 1, 2025. Experience with Stage 6 English and/or History courses to Extension level is expected.

It offers a diverse program and opportunities for leadership and service.</p><p>We are seeking an experienced, innovative and enthusiastic Curriculum Leader to play an integral role in the academic program at St Spyridon College. The Curriculum Leader of English and/or History will be responsible for all aspects of learning, teaching, assessment, monitoring, and curriculum development in English and/or History and lead a collaborative team to achieve positive outcomes and inspire students to excel in English and/or History. </p><p>Success Criteria:</p><p>The successful applicant will:</p><ul><li>Be able to contribute to the strong academic culture of the school environment</li><li>Observe and evaluate student&#39;s performance and development</li><li>Be willing to use student data effectively to inform Team teaching practice</li><li>Communicate necessary information regularly to students, colleagues and parents regarding student progress and student needs</li><li>Possess a strong knowledge of the NSW curriculum and its upcoming Education Reforms</li><li>Immerse themselves in the full culture and program of the College which may extend beyond the school day, for instance on a small number of Saturdays for Sport </li><li>Undertake other duties as required by the Head of College or her delegate</li></ul><p>The successful candidate will possess the following core competencies:</p><ul><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills</li><li>Motivation, dedication and enthusiasm for learning</li><li>Experience in leading a team</li><li>Positivity and a high level of emotional intelligence</li><li>High expectations for the learning and achievements of students</li><li>Is collegial, flexible and approachable</li><li>Possess strong ICT competencies</li><li>Professional presentation and conduct</li><li>A strong work ethic and demonstrated ability to work collaboratively</li><li><p>Willingness to actively support the Orthodox ethos of the school</p><p> </p></li></ul>
