Golden Grove Lutheran Primary School is seeking a dynamic and passionate Finance Officer to join our warm and committed staff team.

The successful applicants will work within a supportive team in an outstanding, vibrant school committed to inspiring and developing students’ spiritual, academic, emotional and social potential through our values of 'Believe, Collaborate, Achieve'. </p><p><strong>The Opportunity</strong></p><p>Reporting to the Business Manager, the Finance Officer will provide financial, clerical and administrative services in the Finance Office. </p><p> </p><p><strong>Position</strong></p><p>Permanent part time (2 days per week over 45 weeks).</p><p> </p><p><strong>About you </strong></p><p>Experience as a Finance Assistant/Officer or Accounts Payable Officer or similar is essential. You will be a high-performing professional with accounts payable/receivable, payroll and/or bookkeeping experience and have a good understanding of Goods and Services Tax (GST).</p><p>This position would suit someone with commitment to the ethos, Christian values, and culture of the School. The suitable candidate will also have:</p><ul><li>Qualifications and demonstrable competence and experience relevant to the key responsibilities.</li><li>Demonstrated competence and confidence in using a personal computer and relevant software packages eg TASS or equivalent, Spike and Microsoft Office suite.</li><li>Knowledge of general office and administrative procedures and equipment.</li><li>Knowledge and prior use of the School Administration package (TASS) would be an advantage.</li><li>Working with Children Check and RAN-EC training or ability to obtain this accreditation.</li><li>Demonstrated capacity for self-management, collaborative decision-making, being a member of a large team, and the ability to accept, promote and manage change.</li><li>Proven ability to work independently, meet deadlines, set priorities, be well organised and capacity to work under pressure.</li><li>Demonstrated good level of communication and interpersonal skills when relating to staff, students, and the wider School Community.</li></ul><p> </p><p><strong>Employee benefits</strong></p><p>Employees of Golden Grove Lutheran Primary School have the following benefits available:</p><ul><li>Ongoing professional development </li><li>Employee Assistance Program</li><li>Salary Sacrificing Superannuation</li><li>Salary Packaging</li></ul><p> </p><p><strong>Key Selection Criteria </strong><br /> </p><p>The Key Selection Criteria that will be used to select the successful applicant include:</p><ul><li>Relevant experience in accounts payable / receivable and payroll administration and working with computerised payroll and HR information systems.</li><li>Good communication and customer service skills with the capacity to maintain professional and respectful relationships with work colleagues and customers and handle a range of payroll enquiries.</li><li>Ability to provide support with month end and bank reconciliations. </li><li>Good numeracy, analytical and problem solving skills with high attention to detail.</li><li>Capacity to interpret industrial awards and enterprise agreements in calculating employee entitlements from these. </li><li>Strong administrative skills with the ability to adapt to shifting priorities and competing deadlines.</li><li>Good computer literacy and data entry skills</li><li>Understanding and demonstrated commitment to the Lutheran philosophy and ethos of education.</li><li>Experience with TASS is desirable, but not required.</li></ul><p> </p><p><strong>Personal Qualities</strong></p><ul><li>Friendly, positive manner and disposition and client focused. </li><li>Self-motivated and uses initiative.</li><li>Able to problem solve and to work as part of a team.</li><li>Understanding of the ethos of a Lutheran school .</li></ul><p> </p><p><strong>What We Offer</strong></p><p>Our culture is supportive and dynamic, and our success is enabled by an engaging, passionate team approach.
