<p><strong>MacKillop College, Bathurst</strong><br><strong>All-girls, years 7-12</strong><br><strong>Fixed-Term Contract Position (60 hours/ fortnight)</strong><br><strong>Commencing: 31 January 2025 through 19 December 2025</strong></p><p><br><strong>About the Role</strong><br>The core role of the Youth Minister is to assist in the animating of spirituality and faith formation of youth and promote attitudes based on Gospel values. The Youth Minister is to provide faith formation and leadership opportunities to youth within the Parish, school and throughout the broader community, as well as develop a strong sense of faith amongst youth, drawing them into, and allowing them to identify with, a nurturing and supportive faith community.<br><br>&nbsp;</p><p>A copy of the <i><strong>position description</strong></i> can be found by clicking <a href="https://docs.google.com/document/d/1PeusRKC5ivNleamtlfZheG336sOosz0h/edit?usp=sharing&amp;ouid=103344257239351755744&amp;rtpof=true&amp;sd=true">here</a></p><p><br><strong>About You</strong><br>The school’s Youth Minister will add value to our students' lives through:</p><ul><li>A demonstrated deep faith and a desire to share that faith with others, particularly young people</li><li>Ability to facilitate outreach events and engaging students into further formation on opportunities beyond the school context.</li><li>Ability to work under pressure and the capacity to be flexible and responsive to changing priorities</li><li>Ability to work with teachers in the implementation on of the CSYMA Curriculum and additional classroom catechesis where required.</li><li>Effective communication skills in all aspects of ministry with young people ∙ Sound organisational, coordination and implementation skills.</li><li>Worships regularly at a parish weekend mass</li></ul><p><br><strong>About Us</strong><br>The Catholic Education Diocese of Bathurst (CEDB) is responsible for 33 schools, approximately 9,300 students and 1,700 staff.
