We welcome expressions of interest for the new position of Deputy Principal – Community. This position will play a leading role at St Patrick’s College in supporting the Principal, the Deputy Principal – Academic Culture, and other members of the Leadership Team in all aspects of the operations of the College and its strategic directions.

<p>St Patrick&#39;s College, Ballarat is a Catholic day and boarding school for boys in the Edmund Rice tradition. The College is structured into three schools - Junior (Years 7 &amp; 8), Middle (Year 9 &amp; 10) and Senior School (Years 11 &amp; 12) - and has an enrolment of approximately 1300 boys.</p><p>The College was founded in 1893 and is governed by Edmund Rice Education Australia Victorian Schools Limited (EREA VSL). The College&#39;s vision is centred around: <i>&#34;Educating hope-filled, compassionate and confident young men for their place in the world&#34;.</i></p><p>St Patrick&#39;s College is inspired and informed by a commitment to its four pillars, which remain the bedrock of a St Patrick&#39;s education. These pillars are: Faith, Tradition, Excellence and Joy.</p><p>The  Deputy Principal - Community will play a leading role at St Patrick&#39;s College in supporting the Principal, the Deputy Principal - Academic Culture, and other members of the Leadership Team in all aspects of the operations of the College and its strategic directions.</p><p>The Deputy Principal - Community will take a lead role in liaising with the various stakeholders in the College community: students, staff, parents and alumni; developing and nurturing relationships with them and through these, positively influencing the directions and work of the College. This will involve working closely with the Old Collegians’ Association, Parent Support Groups, the Student Council and Congress and developing and nurturing positive and professional relationships with College staff.</p><p>The Deputy Principal - Community will take a lead role in the organisation and preparations of College assemblies, events and gatherings. The Deputy Principal - Community will actively lead and contribute to the marketing and promotions of the College, particularly in relation to enrolments.</p><p>The Deputy Principal - Community is an active member of the College Leadership Team and will demonstrate a collaborative, visible and relational approach to ensure that the College’s philosophy, aims, objectives and Mission Statement are reflected in the role.
