<p>All Souls St Gabriels School (ASSG) is an independent, co-educational, Pre-prep to Year 12, day and boarding school in the Anglican tradition. Located in Charters Towers, 130km west of Townsville, the School caters to students from all over Queensland and the Northern Territory. All Souls St Gabriels School embraces a holistic approach to education, placing emphasis on developing the whole person in mind, body and spirit. The School motto, Servire Regnare "to serve is to reign", underscores the School’s commitment to fostering a spirit of service among students.</p><p>The Deputy Head supports the Headmaster of All Souls St Gabriels School in ensuring excellent teaching, learning and living in a close-knit community. This position plays an integral role within the Senior Leadership Team and provides leadership across the entire School. The Deputy Head works in collaboration with the Headmaster and other senior leaders to develop and monitor the School’s mission and vision and to oversee structures that facilitate the work of both staff and students. This role is ideal for an experienced educational leader who will maintain organisational leadership of all daily operations. As a relational and visible leader, you will bring a strategic outlook, a positive mindset and an energetic passion for the next exciting stage of growth. </p><p>The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:</p><ul><li>Leadership and management of the day-to-day operations of the School, including events, timetables, policy development, system management, and Workplace Health and Safety</li><li>Strong change management skills and an awareness of current developments in education, to strategically plan for and implement improvements in structures, policies, pedagogy and curriculum</li><li>A commitment to promoting appropriate pastoral care and wellbeing support of students</li><li>An ability to lead staff growth and professional development by creating a strong coaching culture</li><li>Positive engagement with the School community, inspiring staff, students and parents through effective communication and strong relationships</li><li>A commitment to the Anglican ethos and strategic vision of All Souls St Gabriels School</li></ul><p>Ideally commencing in January 2025 (or upon negotiation), this role includes a small teaching load.
