Frensham Junior School is seeking to appoint one full-time and one part-time Teacher’s Aide from Term 1, 2025 (term-time only). The successful candidates will be suitably qualified and experienced, with training and expertise in working with students with a range of social, emotional and learning needs.

They are taught to value kindness, resilience, empathy and compassion, and to carry these attributes with them for life, alongside the School’s core values.</p><p><strong>Role Overview</strong></p><p>Frensham Junior School is seeking to appoint one full-time and one part-time <strong>Teacher’s Aide</strong> from Term 1, 2025 (term-time only).</p><p>The successful candidates will be suitably qualified and experienced, with training and expertise in working with students with a range of social, emotional and learning needs.</p><p>As part of your application please indicate if you are applying for the full-time or part-time position or would like to be considered for either position. </p><ul><li>1 x Full-time role - 9:30am to 5:30pm (term-time only) - implement small group, 1:1 and in-class intervention programs, work with relevant staff to develop and maintain Learning Support plans and documentation, supervise after school Homework Club and provide administrative support during lunch breaks.</li><li>1 x Part-time role (0.5 FTE) - 8:00am to 12:00pm each day (term-time only) - Supervise before school duties, implement small group, 1:1 and in-class intervention programs, and work with relevant staff to develop and maintain Learning Support plans and documentation.</li></ul><p>Salary is in accordance with the Independent Schools NSW (Support and Operational Staff) Multi-Enterprise Agreement 2021.</p><p><strong>Role Requirements</strong></p><ul><li>A Certificate III or IV in Education Support and prior experience as a Learning Support Assistant or Teacher’s Aide. </li><li>Experience working with students who have special learning and/or support requirements (which may be academic, social/emotional or physical).</li><li>Experience with MultiLit intervention programs preferred.</li><li>Ability to manage sensitive information discretely and maintain confidentiality at all times.</li><li>An awareness of the types and levels of adjustments provided within schools.</li><li>A calm, nurturing and supportive manner in all interactions with students and parents.</li><li>Excellent interpersonal skills and a genuine interest in working as a team with the ability to be supportive, build connections and encourage others.</li><li>Strong computer literacy and confidence in the use of technology.</li><li>Current First Aid certificate or willingness to obtain prior to commencement.</li><li>Commitment to the values and ethos of Frensham Schools.</li></ul><p><i>All staff at Frensham Schools take an active role in ensuring our Child Protection programs, policies and processes are at the forefront of all that we do. A Working with Children Check Clearance Number must be provided to the School prior to confirmation of the appointment.</i></p><p><i>The successful applicant will be required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or other diseases (as advised by the School) and provide the School with evidence it considers satisfactory regarding vaccination. Being fully vaccinated may include additional doses and booster injections.</i></p>
