We seek to foster a commitment to Jesus Christ and a passion to live life in such a way as to bring honour and glory to God, in staff and students alike.</p><p><strong>About the Role</strong></p><ul><li>Oversee the Junior School Physical Education Curriculum, at either our Brooklyn Park or South Plympton campus. </li><li>Support a strategic approach to growing participation and excellence across the College sports program. </li><li>In conjunction with the Sports Program Coordinator and Sports Administration Team, assist with the promotion of co-curricular student participation (eg. SACSA). </li><li>Conduct trials, coaching and supervision of co-curricular sports (eg. SACSA). </li><li>Demonstrate excellent skills and understanding of teaching and learning in a primary school setting, utilising a range of teaching methodologies. </li></ul><p>The advertised position represents an exciting opportunity to join the Physical Education team at Emmaus Christian College. In addition to this Junior School Physical Education Key Teacher role, we welcome highly qualified PE teachers and leaders to also consider applying to an additional leadership role, the Sports Program Coordinator ELC-12. This additional position provides leadership and oversight to our Sports extra-curricular and co-curricular programs across ELC-12. If you are interested in applying to both the Junior School Physical Education Key Teacher and the Sports Program Coordinator ELC-12, you are encouraged to clearly express your interest for both roles on your cover letter.</p><p>For further information regarding the position, please view the full position description available on our website at <a href="https://emmauscc.sa.edu.au/about/employment" rel="nofollow">https://emmauscc.sa.edu.au/about/employment</a></p><p><strong>About You</strong></p><ul><li>A committed Christian with a demonstrated passion for Biblically-based Christian education and deep desire to serve Jesus Christ as Lord.</li><li>An appropriate qualification in Teacher Education (a tertiary degree in areas related to physical education would be an advantage).</li><li>Demonstrated passion and experience teaching health and PE students across ELC-6 classes</li><li>Demonstrated ability to motivate and inspire young people to achieve their potential, catering for students with a range of learning abilities.</li><li>Evidence of excellent behaviour management skills, contributing to a safe and caring classroom environment.</li><li>Excellent interpersonal skills and experience in working with staff, parents and students.</li><li>Demonstrated ability in problem solving, flexibility, priority setting and time management.</li><li>Demonstrated passion for physical education and health, motivating students to maintain a healthy lifestyle.</li><li>Current Teachers’ Registration, valid Working With Children Check, RRHAN-EC and First Aid certification.</li></ul>
