The Administration Assistant for Frensham Junior School is the first point of contact for all enquiries via telephone, email and in person. They are responsible for providing a warm and welcoming environment for staff, students, parents, and other stakeholders.

They are taught to value kindness, resilience, empathy and compassion, and to carry these attributes with them for life, alongside the School’s core values.</p><p><strong>Role Overview</strong></p><p>The <strong>Administration Assistant </strong>for Frensham Junior School is the first point of contact for all enquiries via telephone, email and in person. They are responsible for providing a warm and welcoming environment for staff, students, parents, and other stakeholders.</p><p>The Administration Assistant provides administrative support to the Head of Frensham Junior School and other staff as required.</p><p>This role is a job share arrangement and is required 2 days per week (preferably Thursday and Friday), term-time only. Flexibility to work additional casual days as required would be advantageous.</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Provide administrative support to the Head and other Frensham Junior School staff as required.</li><li>Manage incoming and outgoing communications of emails, telephone calls, front desk enquiries, parent permissions, extra-curricular and homework club bookings, orders and deliveries.</li><li>Support the welfare of each child, emotionally and physically, and provide a safe and caring environment for students.</li><li>Provide support to parents who require assistance with various school related matters.</li><li>Assist with the organisation of Junior School events including bookings, catering, ordering, running sheets, supplies and welcoming guests.</li><li>Administer student first aid and medical requirements and manage associated documentation and parental communication.</li><li>Assist with enrolment administration for the Junior School and Preschool.</li><li>Collect and prepare electronic attendance records for internal purposes and various reporting requirements.</li><li>Provide teaching staff with administrative support for student academic reports.</li><li>Other tasks and duties as directed by the Head of Frensham Junior School.</li></ul><p><strong>Role Requirements</strong></p><ul><li>Demonstrated ability to build rapport and represent the School with tact, confidentiality and diplomacy when communicating with staff, parents, students and other stakeholders.</li><li>An understanding of the pastoral care needs of children from Preschool to Year 6.</li><li>Exemplary written and verbal communication skills. </li><li>Strong attention to detail. </li><li>Ability to work both independently and collaboratively. </li><li>Strong computer literacy skills in working with databases and Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook. </li><li>Willingness to take ownership of tasks and accept responsibility. </li><li>A flexible approach to changing priorities in the workplace. </li><li>An enquiring mind and a desire to learn new tasks and skills. </li><li>An approachable, kind and courteous manner. </li><li>Ability to think clearly, problem solve and remain calm under pressure.</li><li>First Aid certificate or willingness to obtain prior to commencement.</li></ul><p><i>All staff at Frensham Schools take an active role in ensuring our Child Protection programs, policies and processes are at the forefront of all that we do.
