As a member of the school's Religious Education team, the Assistant Religious Education Coordinator will play a key role in the development and implementation of Religious Education programs across the school, promoting Evangelisation initiatives, in building a thriving Catholic community. This position requires an outstanding educator with a well-developed capacity to take forward the evangelising mission of Catholic schools in the Archdiocese of Sydney.<br /> <br />To be successful for this role, you must demonstrate proven experience in:</p> <ul> <li>creating a faith community that brings the Gospel and teachings of the Catholic Church to all the students, families and staff</li> <li>creating a contemporary, student-centred learning culture</li> <li>work with the REC in initiating and leading change and improvement to enhance learning for all students, especially in Religious Education</li> <li>working strategically, with an understanding of the school within the broader educational, ecclesial and community context</li> <li>developing collaborative partnerships to support student and staff faith journey, learning and well-being, especially in the context of evangelization.</li> </ul> <p><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">The possibility of Temporary Youth Ministry Coordinator for 2025 </span></strong><br /><br /><strong>To excel in this role, you will be able to demonstrate:</strong></p> <ul> <li>strong and active commitment to the practice of the Catholic Faith, with a well-developed understanding of the evangelising and catechising mission of the Catholic Church</li> <li>experience and skills in engaging young people into the diverse works of the Catholic Church</li> <li>an understanding of the emerging approaches to youth ministry and evangelisation</li> <li>commitment to and passion for events such as World Youth Day, the Australian Catholic Youth Festival, and Ignite Conference, as pilgrimages of faith for young people</li> <li>commitment to participate in and contribute to a formation program facilitated by Sydney Catholic Schools</li> <li>highly developed interpersonal and communication skills</li> <li>group and teamwork facilitation skills</li> <li>capacity to foster and strengthen relationships between the school and parish communities</li> <li>excellent time management, organisational and administrative skills.</li> </ul> <p>The successful candidate will also possess the following:<br /> </p> <ul> <li>has completed, or has evidence of, study toward a Graduate Diploma or Master of Religious Education or Theology (desirable)</li> <li><a href="https://sydcatholicschools.nsw.edu.au/policies/accreditation-policy-to-work-teach-and-lead-in-sydney-catholic-schools">Category D</a> Accreditation in accordance with To Work, Teach and Lead in systemic Catholic schools Archdiocese of Sydney Accreditation.
