Edmund Rice College, Wollongong is seeking to appoint a suitably qualified teacher of Mathematics who is thoroughly familiar with the National Mathematics Curriculum. The successful applicant must be able to demonstrate innovative approaches to the teaching of Mathematics in order to engage and inspire boys in their learning.

Strongly inclusive, the College prides itself on its diversity as it welcomes students from all backgrounds and cultures.</p><p>For further information about Edmund Rice College, please visit our website - www.edmundricecollege.nsw.edu.au</p><p><strong><u>The Role</u></strong></p><p>Edmund Rice College, Wollongong is seeking applications for a permanent full-time Mathematics Teacher to commence January 2025.</p><p>To be considered for this role, you will need to possess the following:</p><p>• Relevant tertiary qualifications and approval to teach in NSW, specifically appropriate qualifications for teaching 7-12 Mathematics</p><p>• Prior experience in teaching Mathematics</p><p>• The ability and willingness to teach Religious Education (desirable)</p><p>• An understanding and commitment to the Mission and Ethos of the College</p><p>• The ability to relate to boys and a practical knowledge of boys’ education issues and initiatives</p><p>• Have highly developed interpersonal skills and a proven ability to work collaboratively with all staff</p><p>• Be an innovative and engaging classroom teacher</p><p>• Ability to create a positive learning environment in the classroom and promote student responsibility for learning</p><p>• Commitment to academic excellence</p><p>• Ability to work effectively in a team environment</p><p>• Possess a valid Working with Children Check</p><p>• Knowledge and appreciation of WHS</p><p>• A commitment to the child safeguarding principles</p><p>• The ability and willingness to contribute to the extra-curricular life of the College</p><p><i>(For further information about the role, please refer to the attached position description)</i></p><p><strong><u>The Process</u></strong></p><p>Applications (including CV and covering letter) to be submitted through <a href="https://www.edmundricecollege.nsw.edu.au/our-college/employment/" rel="nofollow">www.edmundricecollege.nsw.edu.au</a> by 11 October 2024.</p><p>The appointment of a successful candidate is conditional and based on the successful completion of all pre-employment screening, including child-related employment and reference checks.</p>
