Grounded in an understanding of children's natural sense of wonder, our school&nbsp;aims to equip each child to make sense of their world by wondering, questioning, interacting, reflecting and praying.</p><p><strong>About the Role</strong><br>The Coordinator must fulfill regular teaching responsibilities while also leading and managing various aspects of the school. This includes overseeing teaching and learning, guiding curriculum implementation, supporting catalyst understanding, managing student behaviour and relief staff, and working with others to achieve the school's annual improvement plan.</p><p><strong>Benefits and Opportunities</strong></p><ul><li>A positive and collaborative workplace culture&nbsp;</li><li>Extensive training in our high-quality professional learning program, Catalyst&nbsp;</li><li>Access to curriculum resources that support evidence-based, high-impact teaching practice&nbsp;</li><li>24 weeks of paid parental leave (maternity/adoption)&nbsp;</li><li>Up to 14 weeks of paid parental leave (paternity/non-initial primary carer leave)&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Lead and support the implementation of CECG’s Catalyst Program and High Impact Teaching Practices in the school through active engagement in professional learning, professional reading, professional conversations, and support processes.</li><li>Oversee the development of a dynamic curriculum in line with national and state requirements, and whole school goals.</li><li>Work with staff to incorporate new developments in teaching and learning.</li><li>Ensure courses cater for a range of individual needs and learning styles and work with teachers to meet the identified learning needs of students, modifying curriculum and assessment where appropriate.</li><li>Develop an individual professional learning plan and participate in appropriate professional development activities.</li><li>Develop effective and appropriate relationships with and between members of the community – students, staff and parents.</li><li>Provide prompt and timely follow-up with parents, students and other staff on issues that emerge for each student and ensure that&nbsp;department staff also communicate in a timely fashion with stakeholders.</li><li>Work with and support classroom teachers, enabling them to respond appropriately to individual circumstances and situations.</li><li>Work with relevant staff and other members of the community, to manage departmental processes for example, staff and student allocations, excursions, and the purchase of resources.</li><li>Ensure effective administrative processes in the department, including holding productive meetings, and maintaining accurate records.</li><li>Take responsibility for maintaining a safe and secure environment.</li><li>Ensure that all staff are alerted each term or semester to individual students who require accommodations or adjustments.</li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor of Teaching or Master of Teaching.</li><li>Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) and/or Working with Children’s Check (WWCC) registrations.</li><li>Teaching Quality Institute (TQI) registration and/or NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) accreditation.</li></ul><p><strong>Essential Criteria</strong></p><ol><li>A comprehensive understanding of Catalyst initiatives and High Impact Teaching Practices and the need to provide appropriate support and feedback to teaching staff.</li><li>A thorough knowledge of the Australian Curriculum with the ability to organise, select and design content for effective teaching and learning within the classroom and across the school.</li><li>Demonstrated capability to coordinate a teaching team effectively, to supervise staff across different subject areas, to promote their own and the department’s professional development and to work with the staff to effect change.</li><li>Demonstrated excellence in verbal and written communication skills. &nbsp;This includes high-level mediation and conflict resolution skills and interpersonal skills with the ability to build community.</li><li>The ability to exercise sound judgment, including dealing with confidential matters.</li></ol><p><i>Please refer to the role description for an in-depth detail regarding criteria and skill set required.</i></p><p><strong>Other Eligibility Criteria&nbsp;</strong></p><ul><li>You must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident to be eligible to apply for this position.&nbsp;</li><li>Appointment is subject to satisfactory employment screening for child-related employment in accordance with CECG policy.&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>Application Process</strong></p><p>Applications are invited from interested candidates able to demonstrate a commitment to the vision of Catholic Education.</p><p>Applicants are required to submit a cover letter and current resume including a statement of suitability against the skills, attributes and experience as outlined in the position description.</p><p>This position involves working with children.
