St Brigid's School in Healesville is seeking two classroom teachers to commence at the beginning of the 2025 school year. <p>St Brigid&#39;s is located in the Yarra Valley region, only 20 minutes from Lilydale and 10 minutes from Yarra Glen. The current enrolment of 312 students across 14 classes from Prep to Year 6 enables us to offer high quality programs and small class sizes. We are seeking a suitably qualified teacher committed to developing their professional knowledge and skills for the benefit of the students in their care. </p><p>At St Brigid&#39;s Primary School, we strive to ensure that students at our school reach their full potential. We aim to empower children to take responsibility for their own learning whilst providing them with strategies and skills to prepare them for an ever-changing world. We believe that strong family partnerships between families and the school, make a great difference in a child’s education.</p><p>The successful applicant will be an enthusiastic classroom practitioner, familiar with the Victorian Curriculum, who is able to collaborate with others as part of a level team, working towards improving learning outcomes for all students.</p><p><strong>Selection Criteria:</strong></p><p>• Demonstrate commitment to the Catholic Ethos of the school and to the spiritual, emotional, social and educational wellbeing of all students</p><p>• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the capacity to continue to build positive relationships with students, staff and parents</p><p>• Supportive behaviour management practices</p><p>• Strong understanding and working knowledge of contemporary learning and how to positively impact student learning</p><p>• Demonstrate an openness and commitment to ongoing professional growth</p><p>• Have the ability to inspire and encourage students with a love of learning<br /> </p><p><strong>Special Requirements:</strong></p><p>• Provisional or full registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching</p><p>• Accreditation to teach Religious Education in a Catholic Primary School or a commitment to complete this in the next five years as per the MACS Accreditation Policy</p><p>• Commitment to child safety, to maintaining best practices to ensure this and to ongoing evaluation of these practices</p><p>• At least three referees of which one must be a current employer/Principal.</p><p><strong>Please include the following in your application:</strong></p><p>Your CV including a cover letter addressing the selection criteria.</p><p>Mobile phone contact details for 3 referees including current/most recent Principal/employer.</p>
